  1. A new poll for the Standard which includes the following text: "Fifty-six per cent say they dissatisfied with the Labour leader (up one point), 25 per cent satisfied (down four points), a net score of -31, and similar to -32 for William Hague and Ed Miliband’s -34 at similar points in their leadership." A net score of minus 31 - oh dear!!!! https://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/rishi-sunak-tories-record-low-rating-prime-minister-jeremy-corbyn-poll-b1152246.html Still, Starmer is obviously great cos the Chuckle Brothers say so.
  2. Remember when the Lib Dems got the blame for everything under the coalition government? This is the same - coalition means compromise and despite protesting about this policy change and arguing against it the Greens have had to accept it. Personally I think it stinks and what happens in 2035, 2045 etc when 'there is not enough money'? I have said it before and will say it again - climate change needs to be treated like awar - where money is no object. PS - All you Labour Love in folks - my posts yesterday were talking about NET popularity...... that is pro minus against giving a total as that is what the OP post I replied to was about.................. still, if it means you are right then move the goal posts all you fancy. It does not change the fact that Starmer has a NEGATIVE net popularity (as on BBC Politics live yesteday whoch you all ignored)................... and no incoming PM has ever had that before. Still Labour are going to be perfect and sort everything cos they are so wonderful - DOH
  3. Not true. Using a yougov poll Farage comes top https://yougov.co.uk/ratings/politics/popularity/politicians-political-figures/all Another poll that shows this to be untrue is here https://yougov.co.uk/politics/articles/48984-politicians-favourability-ratings-march-2024 updated here but with less choice https://yougov.co.uk/politics/articles/49179-political-tracker-roundup-april-2024 Using the method in the post above there are many more popular as well such as Andy Burnham.
  4. Thank you for your deep and meaningful reply. If you did take the time to look you would find that this is not the case and many politicians are not unpopular and have good positive scores using the method. but I suppose throw away comments are your thing and easy for you to do.
  5. If Labour were elected tomorrow the new PM would be the least popular (using this method) ever on gaining power and the deputy PM would also be the least popular ever using this method. This was discussed today on Politics Live. As I heard someone in the USA say, "Biden and tRump are both evil and people said I should vote for the least evil". The response was why would you want to vote for evil at all? The UK seems to be happy for voting for the least unpopular or the two most unpopular - aka the least sh*t. Hey ho....................... if you elect shot, you get sh*t even if it is slightly less sh*t.
  6. Videos of live gigs - preferably good ones. rarely if ever the ones made by fools holding up phones whilst talking. I watch stuff like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuEKP5zJCjs
  7. The elephant that Tory, Labour and Lib Dems are all ignoring....................... and have done for decades.
  8. You have totally lost me on this one - I have no idea what you mean.
  9. The £17 billion I quoted was taken from BBC News last night btw
  10. When torn as to who to see my first port of call is Youtube - to find footage of live gigs to see engagement with audience or lack thereof. As much as I love some music the bands that just arrive, play it and say a 'thank you' every 4th track are bands I tend not to see live. I want to be entertained, I want to be puled out my box and played with so to speak.
  11. For the evenings you will need a coat or something warm. Day time is not too bad and the river might actually keep temperatures higher as water temps are higher than average this year.
  12. £17 billion a year an act that is known to cause harm to people who do it and people who don't costs the NHS each year. We all pay towards that - why should I pay for someone to kill themselves in a long and nasty way? I smoked for 21 years btw. Also, if smoking is OK and people should be allowed to make their own choices as an adult how come the same group of MP;s who want to let peope smoke and don';t want them to have cannabis also do not want Assisted Dying? Surely assisted dying is adults making theoir own choice.
  13. Interesting or a daft error - the Tories are busy elsewhere today so they might miss their chance to attack................. but will the Daily Hate (aka Mail)?
  14. I find it hilarious listening to Tories banging on about adults making their own decisions (regardless of those decisions hurting others) and yet every single one of those Tories saying this wanted Cannabis reclassified as a Class A drug.
  15. Farage, the twunt who first said they would have to 'drag him off the stage' and then 60 seconds later rushed out a side door flanked by his personal security saying he did not want confrontation. One persona for the media Another for reality
  16. Letters re definatley the same size as for others. No reason to think she is headlining at all.
  17. She is top of the Avalon poster released earlier today.
  18. Spot on. We last went in 2019 and cannot wait to see all the changes since then. I will, in places, feel like a whole new festival.
  19. Someone needs to tell Bri Maddan the cafe is no more.
  20. This coming weekend will be warmer and sunnier. After that the best guess is a return to more unsettled but drier overall weatgher. Currently there are no signs of any prolonged warm dry weather but more than 2 weeks ahead things can and do change lots. The good news is the ground is drying and will continue to do so.
  21. On her own cos the next one listed has a very long name.
  22. Why is Braverman there and not in the commons where she is being paid to be? Why does Farage go to Brussels to talk about things 'that matter to British people'? So many questions about a room full of nationalists spouting their hate
  23. Just watched BBC Newscast interview with Liz Truss. Good grief. What an arrogant, deluded, smug person she is. No guilt, no remorse, just blaming everybody but her with a huge whiff of her own self importance. Heaven help the UK if she and her followers were to ever gain power again.
  24. Take me there and leave me there - cos if all Festivals did Avalon lineups we would go to so many more.
