  1. I'd take Justice, Korn & Flogging Molly from here, maybe PJ Harvey too. They have 1 more headliner to announce + a sub for Justice
  2. The Offspring & The Strokes on the same day, please make it happen
  3. Lorde was also considered a headliner according to the lineup poster, despite playing before Macklemore.
  4. QOTSA didn't even sell out Budapest Park few years ago, so I don't think they're that big. The Strokes might be more popular than them but still not that huge. Massive Attack didn't sell out Budapest Arena few years ago either.
  5. To be honest I wouldn't be so excited having Lana del Rey on the lineup and I guess that's because it still feels like her concert at Sziget was only 2 years ago. That's one of the pandemic effects on myself haha. Rihanna isn't a great example btw, her show was one of the worsts I have ever seen at Sziget (and I go since 2015). She didn't come with a band and at least 90% of her concert was lip-syncing. I guess a real Rihanna live show was too expensive back then, so she was an example of another very bad booking but I can understand the logic behind it: both parties ignored the quality and both were milking the cash cow.
  6. I really hope they didn't spend too much money on these "headliners". If they would have Taylor Swift + Paramore, then I'd understand why the rest of them look so bad. But they don't have them, so it's just very bad booking.
  7. What improvements would you make to the lineup to make it look much stronger in terms of big acts with some realistic options? These are my additions to make the lineup more appealing for the general public: first of all, I'd try to book The Killers on the Stormzy day (Day 3). I would still promote Stormzy as headliner but he would be going play at 19:30. That day would look really strong for the UK visitors because lots of them listen to The Killers. I know that band isn't officially in the area in August but for the right price I think they would be. For Day 1, I'd book The Strokes with a strong act before them, let's say Paramore. Technically, Paramore ARE available on the 7th, 11th AND 12th of August and I really believe they might accept to play (for the right price, of course). I would make Day 2 more pop-oriented, with Lana Del Rey as headliner & some nice alternative bands in Freedome. For Day 4, before Martin Garrix, I'd book a strong name, let's say Noel Gallagher or Liam Gallagher. For Day 5, right before Sam Smith, I'd put another stronger name from other festivals in the area as a sub. For Day 6 I'd book Skrillex and have Four Tet b2b Fred Again b2b Skrillex + a nice sub playing before them So we'd have: Day 1: The Strokes + Paramore Day 2: Lana Del Rey Day 3: The Killers + Stormzy Day 4: Martin Garrix (+ Noel / Liam sub) Day 5: Sam Smith + strong sub Day 6: Four Tet b2b Fred Again b2b Skrillex + nice sub That would make 8 headliners on the poster (The Strokes, Lana Del Rey, The Killers, Stormzy, Martin Garrix, Sam Smith, Fred Again & Skrillex), maybe 9 if they would also add Four Tet on it.
  8. It would still look weak for my tastes but it would be better than nothing
  9. So The Strokes, Lana del Rey and Skrillex for the next announcement?
  10. The announcement seems to be as worse as the first wave of the 2017 lineup announcement. Back then Sziget came with these names: Bad Religion, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, DJ Shadow, GTA, GusGus, Kensington, Mac DeMarco, Major Lazer, Oh Wonder, Oliver Heldens, Tom Odell, Two Door Cinema Club, Vince Staples, W&W Both were anniversary Sziget editions 😁
  11. I wouldn't pay to see any of the announced headliners in their own concert on a stadium or arena, maybe except Stormzy. And if I'd like to see undercard acts, I'd go to a 100 euros festival. I'll keep my fingers crossed for a better 2nd wave announcement.
  12. If The Strokes will say 'Yes', will they be the "rock" headliners or is Sziget planning to book another rock act as headliners?
  13. @Sziget2024_Leaks On a scale of 0 to 10, how excited do you predict this forum is going to be after tomorrow's lineup announcement?
  14. According to this year's festival map, there were Royal Camping, Royal Showers and Royal Breakfast by Lidl at the "Camping Experiences" but the Lidl Royal Market is inside the festival area
  15. According to the FAQ, at EC Village (that's how they call the campsite), you can't bring in alcohol. However you can try sneak it in but I don't recommend that 😁
  16. I think the surprise headliner is CM Punk On a more serious note, Chance the Rapper is also from Chicago.
  17. For the 5th picture I'm also thinking about this but hairstyles do not really match:
  18. Leaks said thar no one is coming from Rock Werchter
  19. Someone wrote on Sziget's facebook post that from these clues only 2 acts are using instruments & that's worrying for a live music festival. I have to agree with him tbh.
  20. It's jamie xx then. Saw him last years at Electric Castle, I wasn't impressed. 😔 I'd prefer The xx instead, that would be cool.
  21. #3 is Marshmello I guess. Or Jamie xx? Edit: Marshmello because the Lollipop
  22. Well, if it's Pearl Jam the big act for Mad Cool, then they will definitely won't be part of Sziget's announcement, as we know we won't get a rock headliner this time.
  23. Yeah, I agree. They either try milking the cow despite the ticket prices are still lower or they really have a bigger act as an ace under their sleeves and that might make the lineup look "huge". We know from Leaks that Sziget will announce about 3 OR 4 headliners, so if they share someone or some big band with Mad Cool, than this could be the missing 4th one that we don't know about. I hope for the best. 😁
