  1. Does anyone know if there's any update on Catfish? Assuming there would have been a press release if they weren't playing but seems very strange that they haven't posted at all this year... Could they be breaking up and R&L be their last tour dates (to be fair, it's probably as high as they'd ever go so talk about going out on a high!) or could they have just gone silent as they're working on new music? Been over 2 years since they released the balance.
  2. I don’t think he’s going to pull a massive crowd to be honest. Yeah he’s a big name but not necessarily for the music. Especially at Reading, he’s going to be at about 2/3pm will people really be that arsed to leave the campsite at that time to see him?
  3. A lot of people going to Leeds on this forum.. if anyone going to Reading fancies meeting up for a few beers hit me up! I know a few people going on the Sunday but the other 2 days I'm totally alone because I can't convince anyone to stay the whole weekend! Also, on another subject are we assuming that all bands now are pretty much 100% with no international COVID dropouts (obviously with the exception of people actually getting the virus). Quite looking forward to seeing MK but he's got American tour dates, before coming over here to play R&L and Creamfields, do we think bands like that have already got the international clearance then, as surely if they couldnt make it they would know by now?
  4. Yeah exactly, I think it's a lot easier as a man to go off alone too, we get a lot less hassle than a lone woman. I'd happily go off on my own and watch a band but if the person you're with doesn't feel comfortable then it's a bit of a dick move to just ditch them...
  5. Not if you have friends (or partners) who dont want to be or dont feel comfortable being left alone - I've had this problem before.
  6. Ah fair enough I'm looking forward to it then! I just worried about sticking out like a sore thumb being the "weirdo" who camps alone (I know, i need to stop being so self conscious). I know some people going on the Sunday so I can see them then but its just the whole camping alone that scares me. Hopefully i'll meet some people while i'm there too.. like I said i didn't want to be the one loner who desperately tries to make friends with everyone, but I guess going alone is better than being sat at home sulking about not going 🤣
  7. I’m in exactly the same position! I’d bought tickets to go with my ex after going to reading every year with her since 2015, I’d asked a mate to come along but he can’t get it off work so it looks like I’m going alone! Have people been alone and recommend it? I know nobody will notice who’s alone in a crowd of thousands of people but I feel really nervous even thinking about it!
  8. They’ll probably all still be there just complaining all the way through the set! This is the worst thing about two main stages, if you don’t like the headliners you’re pretty screwed, at least when we had the R1 stage there was a bit of choice. Luckily I’m happy to see all six headliners
  9. I don’t think the majority of the target demographic have even heard of Biffy. To be fair they probably hadn’t heard of QOTSA either…
  10. Biffy aren’t a worthy headliner, as much as I’m looking forward to seeing them, they’re irrelevant these days, they’re a co-headliner these days, didn’t they co-head with Fall Out Boy a few years ago? They’re no more relevant now than they were then. In my opinion the MSE headliners are worthy of headlining the festival, the MSW ones could co-headline.
