Download certainly would be a good fit for them, but maybe they would be up for ticking the Glastonbury box. I think there's room for them. Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic...

I don't think it's a case of PT not wanting to "tick the Glastonbury box" - more that I am not sure if any Glasto areas would book them. A unique band who can sell out Wembley Arena, but probably would be unknown to at least approx. 75-80% of Glasto attendees.

This is freaking huge for me. I will be seeing them next week so unsure about Manchester, but…. Could they be at the farm? Headlining JP perhaps. It would make my festival.

I couldn't imagine them making an appearance - can't see them fitting in anywhere, as much as it would be incredible (cannot wait for next Friday!) Download maybe?

And we already knew that a lot of the dates had slow sales, so this could be that rather than anything else. Looks like the back corner of an arena, which you'd expect ot be the last to go.

Definitely not just the back corner!

Calling a VONC is a win win for Labour. It either gets rid of a deeply immoral PM or it goes the Tories the the deeply immoral and unpopular PM further tarnishing their reputation. It’s the smart move and hopefully will lead to a general election.

There's absolutely not a chance a VONC will be successful in the terms of resulting in a GE. The Tories are the most self serving bunch of crooks going. The latest poll had them 14 points down - they'd be turkeys voting for Christmas if any voted against Boris. They'll all come crawling back and vote with the government to save their own jobs for a little longer.

I thought the Glastonbury On Sea area was really good. Id heard a few 'meh' comments about it from before but I liked it. A lot of effort in it and a cool place to check out, I thought.

In 2019 it genuinely seemed unfinished. Went along for a wander this year and found it to be a really nice spot - came away with candy floss for £2.50 and a stick of rock.

We're aiming for the West side, but thanks for the info!

Did you join the queue as soon as you arrived?

Yes! Straight down into the queue on both occasions. All jovial stuff at that time in the morning - 2019 was notably quicker than 2017, but as 2017 was my first time I couldn't tell you if we did anything particularly different - it was all a blur!

Having not arrived in the morning before, what time roughly do people reckon we'll be through the gates if arriving at the car parks at 8am?

In 2019 we arrived around 6am, gates opened a little before 8am and we were in and set up in Kidney Mead just before 11am. 2017 was slightly longer wait - both years we entered from the East Side of the site - same plan this year, leaving Oxford around 3am so will likely be queued up around 5.30!

Used this exact model for 2017, 2019 and 2 Latitude festivals in between - would hugely recommend. Latitude 2021 saw it retired with too many holes, replaced by the 2 man XL version (looked at the 3 man XL but the turtle shell bag is HUGE). Always an advocate of the F+B, changed the game when I bought this one before 2017 and never looked back.

Thanks for the heads up Brownie, will keep an eye on that!

They should be taking them off the site if they can't fulfill.

Not to worry @joeltg - FWIW the customer service reps over the phone were really helpful, sounded more like it was a supplier issue they had no control over. (AKA as @crazyfool1 says, Efests has bought them all)

I went for the below in the end.

    https://www.next.co.uk/style/st729674/449769

It's a 2 man but XL so has the porch for storage and I wanted to avoid a poled after having pop ups for so long.

If you want more space the 3 man looks decent. Also assume you are trying to avoid the turtle shell carry.

Word of warning on this one - I ordered the 3 man F&B from Next 2 weeks ago after discovering it was around £20 cheaper than Decathlon and would be delivered within 6 days. 10 days and two phone calls to customer services later, Next emailed today to say they couldn't fulfill the order and would be providing a full refund. I've gone back to order the same tent from Decathlon directly (for £20 more) and will be collecting in store on Thursday.

  11. Incognito browser on Chrome with 4G hotspot worked for the second time in a row! Sealed 6/6 in the 2019 sale, a further 2 within 4 minutes this morning for a couple joining after two festivals out. I'd never made it past the holding page before this festival - luck has certainly turned. Very ready for 12 weeks of exciting build up, it's happening!
