For me, it’s mainly the fact that in daily life, most of the people I meet don’t seem very nice, but on the farm, the opposite is true. I realise that’s at least partly down to the fact that everyone there is in a good mood, but still, it’s a refreshing change. As my daughter once said, everyone should be more Glastonbury. Or at least try to be.

That feeling... @Ayrshire Chris when you stay up all night in case the official line up and stage times come out, and nothing happens. I feel for you! Totally agree. Was at his early Other Stage set last year, and thought he was fantastic. Will definitely be trying to catch him in Strummerville clashes permitting.

Seems to be a lot of negativity around both this line up, and the Acoustic stage in general, which I find very puzzling. It is what it is.... you wouldn’t go to Arcadia or Sonic and expect a ballad singer would you? Part of what makes Glastonbury so special is the sheer diversity of genres available. Personally, I love the Acoustic, there’s often plenty on there for me, and this year is no exception. I do agree that the stage/tent isn’t great, primarily because it slopes the wrong way, but the area itself is a welcome spot containing one of the best bars on site, and Annie Maes.... The Saw Doctors, a pint of ale, and some Mac n Cheese.... what’s not to like?!?

I was at that! Was quietly enjoying a relaxing pint, when a quiz started. Four friendly young guys at my table were more than happy to let me join their team, hoping that my age and experience would prove beneficial. They were sadly disappointed. Good fun though.

Mentioned on the forum before that I can no longer manage getting undressed in my small tent, found this to my cost in 2022, when following the agony of wriggling out of shorts and into a sleeping bag, I swore never again. Have purchased a new tent, one I can stand up in, which arrived yesterday. Just had my first trial run putting it up on my own, and am delighted. It’s a Quechua Arpenez 4.1, and I could perform yoga in it if I chose to. Or readily swing cats. (Note: no animals were harmed in the erection of this tent).

I’ll be at the Ridge and Furrow, probably lurking a bit whilst trying to work out which meet is which. Given the apparent personalities, based purely on their online behaviours, should be straightforward enough. Needless to say I’ll be beating a path towards the pyramid hat.
