Coffee and Donuts near Williams Green. -
That might be the Royal Blood crowd if it’s sunny at the Pyramid when they’re on.

So true. I’m tired of the question “who’s playing” when people find out I’m going. They usually switch off after I’ve listed the first few hundred acts......

After The Cure in 2019, myself, my son, my daughter, my niece and her boyfriend went into The Woods for a few drinks by the fire, to unwind and recap the whole festival. Ended up spending a couple of hours in there, sharing stories of who we’d seen, what we’d done etc.... we were joined by several more people, all got chatting. It was a bit bittersweet, because the festival was ending, and I confess to doing more listening then talking, but seeing how much they had all had a blast, and were desperate to return made it magical.

Not sure I agree with this, but that probably stems from the use of the term “bucket list” and how it’s now perceived in society. To me, a bucket list is things you want to do or see before you die, that for whatever reason, you haven’t done yet. It has nothing ( in my opinion) to do with Instagram. Attending Glastonbury WAS a bucket list item for me. I had watched and followed it avidly my whole life, and always wanted to go, but family circumstances (and geography!) made it very difficult, and I felt I’d left it too late, and that I was too old to enjoy it (I was wrong). Attended my first one in 2015, purely intending it to be my only one, I.e. a bucket list thing. Haven’t missed one since. Will go as long as I can physically manage it.

Almost £4 for a can? Unless they’re donating 50% of that to Greenpeace, Oxfam and Water Aid they can do one. -
Always found the alarm function to be a bit strange. Who needs a reminder to attend a set at Glastonbury? Is it just me? Christ! I plain forgot! Eltons on at the Pyramid in 15 minutes everyone, we have to rush!

Peckish Peacock is vegan, they do magnificent pakoras, and a spinach and chickpea curry.

My schedule has TWOD as well, but might change the plan to make it Alison Goldfrapp -a pint in Tolpuddle or Mandela - a curry from the Peckish Peacock - Elton. A leisurely 1 hour 45 minutes between sets, and a welcome rest come Sunday night.

I understand your point, but part of the beauty of Glastonbury is wandering around and discovering all these things, or getting involved in online forums like this!

I’ve definitely had a drink there on a Thursday before.
-
Don’t know, but Cockmills (pictured above) were serving San Miguel last year.
-
No, but people may confuse you for the exit.
-
Spending some time people watching the carnage at Brothers from the comfort and ambiance of the West Holts Bar is a Thursday tradition for me.
-
This is true. I’d add that the same clientele head to Brothers once they are too far gone to be served in San Remo.
-
Couple of people asking the name of the bar beside the Acoustic which does a half decent selection of ales.... it’s the Cockmill, and looks like this....
