  1. 3 day tickets sold out?
  2. Not keen on the undercard. But I'm in the seemingly rare position of only having seen The National once and never having seen Lana, PJ, Pulp or Mitski. So depending on how the days split, might still end up worth it.
  3. Looks that way. Haven't been here during bad weather before. I'm assuming it can't get _that_ muddy.
  4. Now to play the "check the weather forecast every day and hope it constantly edges slightly better" game.
  5. VIP tickets worth the extra cost?
  6. Would any of the acts playing a different day be free to play twice?
  7. Would they get a replacement or just bump an act up as it's short notice?
  8. Have we actually heard anything about whether the capacity this year is any different?
  9. Haven't been to RW recently but surely to god they haven't insisted on printed tickets up to now?
  10. Slightly put off by all the stories of this year's organisational issues. Maybe they'll have more cop-on next year but wary of committing a holiday to them if they don't.
  11. First time at this festival. Thought it was generally well organised but agree about the sound quality for some acts. Certainly enjoyed it more than a lot of the people at Primavera Barca seemed to enjoy this year's edition at least. Not so amazing that I'd rush back but if the right bands happen to fall into place again then I'd quite happily return.
  12. Hopefully they take the appropriate lessons from the Barcelona nightmare and make sure they have the right staff levels and water access at least.
  13. Basic question but how many food/drink tokens do you guys tend to get through in a weekend?
  14. Sum 41 vs Big Thief is also pulling aspects of my taste in different directions.
  15. I get the complaints about the lack of a QOTSA replacement, but for me the big issue isn't the overall quality of the lineup (which on face value is still really good) but much more the spread across the different days. Saturday is such a dead day for me, Phoebe Bridgers and Jamie XX the only two acts I'm vaguely interested in. And even if the other three days are packed with acts I want to see (in some ways especially if so if there's clashes) having a dead day in the middle of the festival disproportionately impacts its appeal. For me that's the big difference with the Mad Cool line-up. On each day there's a spread of four or five acts I want to see. So even if people drop out and aren't replaced well (which I completely understand can happen), I'd still feel I was getting the 4.5 days festival I paid for. And the same applies to other festivals with worse line-ups that I suspect I'll still come away from having enjoyed more. Whereas with RW I'm already one day down. Obviously RW can't cater for all tastes and I'm sure ID and TOP will sell their share of tickets but given how many people I've seen complaining about the Saturday specifically, it does seem that particular days has failed to appeal to a large swathe of the people buying the four day ticket. And it's particularly deflating in the context of this being the year we finally get to go to festivals again.
  16. I note they say the line-up is "almost complete". Is there no hope of an act being added to salvage that Saturday?
  17. The other days all range from okay to good but that Saturday is a car crash.
