I see glass beams have been added to parades de coura - they would be a fantastic addition- caught them at wide awake in London last year and they seem to have grown massively in popularity since

Thank you guys some great insight- getting me super excited for this.

Having done EOTR for the first time last year and having a blast I’m really looking forward to my first GM now the line up is here. For folk who have done both, how do the sites compare? Eg distance between stages, camping facilities, stages getting full and over all vibe. Any advice is gratefully received

Echo the sentiments of the headliners being underwhelming but the undercard is solid. Was hoping for a few other names that are around at the same time but by the sounds there’s still plenty more to come! Looking forward to deep diving into the acts lower down the bill- super excited for my first GM!!!!!

Great start! Do they usually give away any headliners when they do these clues?

My first GM and the wait for the line up is killing me!

Metz will be a great start to the weekend.
Going through past line ups and the Far Out on the Sunday in 2017 looked like a levitation/austin psych fest line up. If they fancy doing something like that this year I wouldn’t moan.
We’ve got to be due the announcement of the announcement soon

Really hoping for:
Big Thief or PJ Harvey (based on the gig they've got in London). Been so confident in Big Thief playing I've got the other half into them.
Porij were brilliant in 22
Ibibio Sound Machine
Bess Atwell (also played in 22)
Bill Ryder-Jones (playing EOTR though)
Random ones:
Can't imagine the Bad Seeds would ever play but wonder if they could ever get Nick Cave Solo
Manics are doing a few gigs this summer...wonder if they'll ever do it
I don’t want to be the guy that is constantly looking for ambiguous clues on social media but BRJ has liked a lot of green man’s recent posts

I’m hoping that the Slift being announced for EOTR doesn’t rule them out of this 🤞🏻

Somewhere between 0% and 0.1% likelihood.

I thought as much! Wishful thinking on my part 😂

What’s is the likelihood of Electric Wizard making an appearance given their ATG announcement? Some other great names across the weekend as well

If you mean the festival line-up graphic with Aphex Twin, it's fake.
That sucks! Ignore the above then haha

My Bloody Valentine are playing a show in NY next year. Might be wishful thinking but I’ll throw them in as an outsider bet
-
When can we expect an announcement for this? I know last year was a bit later than usual.

Just grabbed a ticket , pray for clash gods
where on earth do I start with king gizz back catalogue ?. Sounds like it’s massive , they release multiple albums most years, and they could feasibly play whatever they fancy on the day
https://www.get-into-gizz.com this is going to be your bet- get ready to fall down the rabbit hole- 1

Is there an announcement today?
Yes according their IG story last night

Hopefully the re book Ty Segall after he pulled out last year 🤞🏻

Hoping they do a collaboration with Desert Daze again for the second stage. Always a killer line up that I can never get to so a taste of that on UK soil would be huge

Osees have announced a London show on Thursday 15th August 2024 - surely there's a big possibility they'll turn up at GM?
Came here to post the same- being billed as ‘their only UK club show’ - got to be a shoe in for this. Have they played before?

The answer to your question is yes- the ideal antidote to Big Thief on the mountain stage
