  1. No and as much as I love the place I'm not sure I'd have the gonads to even try. I was camped next to a guy last year that did. He was fairly open with us about it. His girlfriend was stewarding so took his tent in and on the Wednesday morning he got into Worthy View (I think he said) and just waltzed in through the gate with people who were staying there. He did have his 2022 wristband on so it's not like he didn't have something to at least fool security but still.
  2. Wait until we see the new map. Then we can really start GrumbleFest 24. 🙂 Especially if they touch my beloved Oxlyers.
  3. Unfortunately so! Last year was my first ever time in there too, I timed that well.
  4. On first viewing I was disappointed with the poster but the more I look at it the more I think they've done incredibly well. Love them or hate them, Coldplay are selling out stadiums globally. Arguably the biggest band in the world Dua Lipa has a huge following, load of massively popular songs, massive globally and after seeing her Instagram post about headlining clearly loves the festival. SZA - not for me but after seeing her streaming numbers and how big her following is I totally get why she got the bump up after others dropped out. As for the rest of the poster, I'll be honest I knew about 5 which was disappointing but also exciting as I've not got to learn loads of new acts. For example I had no idea who Black Pumas were but my best mate did, is really excited to see them and as a result I've been listening to them loads. I get why some people might be underwhelmed by the 3 (6 including Other) headliners) but let be honest, we all know we'll be here on 1st July saying how incredible our weekends were and talking about new acts we discovered over the weekend. Whether you like the lineup poster or hate it lets not lose sight of the fact that every single one of us will come away from the festival having had the best weekend ever. PS - Avalon poster will be first and it will be Tuesday 2nd April - and Busted will be Sunday headliner* *Let a man dream
  5. At least both retired. It would have been sh*t if the bet came in with the exception of 1 of them in just 1 race. This is why you don't bet drunk! Missed that tweet from Alpine but fantastic 😄 A long way away yet but seems most drivers are out of contract at the end of this season so we should be in for a lot of changes. You would assume a lot of teams will be in for Sainz. Only confirmed drivers for 2025: Red Bull: Max Verstappen & ? Mercedes: George Russell & ? Ferrari: Lewis Hamilton & Charles Leclerc McLaren: Lando Norris & Oscar Piastri: Aston Martin: Lance Stroll & ? Alpine: ? & ? Williams: Alex Albon & ? Stake (Sauber? Alfa?): ? and ? RB: ? & ? Haas: ? & ? A long season left but so far I'm not sure Danny Ric is as nailed on for that Red Bull seat as most of us probably thought. Alonso to Mercedes? Genuinely exciting to see who will end up where. Apologies if I've missed obvious rumours, bound to be loads!
  6. Don't think the Pyramid has enough chandeliers for her set.
  7. Actually think 1 and 3 are good shouts. I still wonder how true the rumours are Rihanna was meant to play '23
  8. Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift (I know I'm dreaming) + 1 more would be unreal. OR does feel realistic though.
  9. Ahh this entire set was so good! Had a chat with my mate today and I think all of our group are seeing them again as our Saturday headliners. The conversation was basically we hope people see this as a different set and don't stand there all the way through comparing it to 2016.
  10. Coldplay - A Sky Full Of Stars or more personal, Charlie Brown, as we used it in our wedding video.
  11. This was my thought too. Or maybe he'll play under a pseudonym to make sure he's still technically a R+L exclusive.
  12. Yeah they’re in Scotland on Friday and London Saturday too so only free on the Sunday. I agree they’re too big for Avalon but not really sure where else they would be placed so I think they’ll be there again if they play. My thinking is they would have been on the poster if they were one of the main stages. Who knows. As long as they end up there I’ll be happy!
  13. Clinging on to the hope that Busted play the Sunday on Avalon. No idea how high up they would be.
  14. How have I missed so much! No Pangea or Arcadia this year? So something entirely new?
  15. Are there any other changes that we are expecting other than the beloved Rabbit Hole?
  16. A fellow poster of class I see! 😄 I would still be shocked if they aren't there, wonder if they could be headlining Avalon on the Sunday? They can't play any other day as they have gigs Friday and Saturday elsewhere. Saturday is only in London though so hardly far to travel for the Sunday. We pray.
  17. Not really related to Glastonbury but the main issue with public charging is that in some cases it’s so expensive. I worked one out the other day to be more than filling an ICE car, mad. I guess as more chargers get installed by more and more suppliers the price will come down a bit. Having said that, home charging is very cheap. £6ish for a full charge (280 miles when it’s warm, 230 when it’s cold)
  18. One of my friends hasn’t returned to Glastonbury since 2016 😅 It was her first and only one, so she doesn’t know any different. Shame for her really as she’s missing out (as we all know)
  19. You may very well be right but out of curiosity why not 11th & 14th? Too soon after balance window? (Unless the resale date has been announced and I’m being thick which is a very real possibility I admit)
  20. Thankfully we get a minibus each year as I wouldn’t fancy trying to use any of the chargers for my EV within about 20-30 miles of the site, suspect they might be absolutely rammed. Having said that even if you charged say 50 miles away that will be more than enough to get you there and back without needing to fight for a charger closer. Anyone that lives closer could charge at home beforehand and wouldn’t need a public charger.
  21. Will 100% be paying off my ticket balance and so will the other 9 people I'm going with. Big event like a loss of job or family commitments aside I don't think I'd ever put a Glastonbury ticket back in the pot.
  22. My god, I hadn’t even contemplated it could be the weekend. My mind went straight to “late Friday”. New horrors!
