Good weird or bad weird?
-
I've only seen him live once (Megadate, his last tour) and was one of my top shows that year
-
Hopefully means he'll announce a tour soon then. He's only had London dates so far.

Ooh, venison for crew catering. Although, got to say, the crew catering at Wilderness was fantastic. So much better than Latitude

I once spent 6 hours of a night shift at Boomtown "guarding" a gap in a fence. Wasn't even an external fence, but it could've been dangerous if someone went through it. That was a long shift. Was fun listening on the radio to the absolute carnage that everyone else was dealing with though.

Yeah, I used to be a semi regular donator, so it's frustrating that I'm not allowed to anymore. Especially as the reason I'm not allowed is because I've had a transfusion.
-
Oh, and anyone who wants to watch Severance you can get a 3 month apple TV trial by joining Currys Perks. It should really be Perk cos I've not seen anything other than Apple, but still, 3 months free.

If I remember rightly I still struggled with those 9 & 10 but that might have been residual annoyance at the really bad ones previously. As said further up though, 11 is a definite improvement. In a rubbish sort of way.

These are pretty good. Make cracking toasties, but can also be used just to make toast (not quite right, but better than other things I've tried). Pretty good for eggs and other stuff you might do in a frying pan too. That's about my limit but there are Facebook groups dedicated to the elaborate meals people have knocked up in them.

I have to say, while it's still basically a bit rubbish, it's now enjoyable rubbish at least. Like you say, stuff is actually happening now.

Are you going to use cash or card at the food and drink stalls?
philipsteak replied to ChimpyJ's topic in Chat
When I first started doing the admin/financial stuff at work, about 8 years ago, the bar was probably about 70% cash & 30% card. Maybe even 80/20. Just before covid that had switched to about 40/60 cash/card. Now cash is barely 15%. Often not even 10%. -
Absolutely. Weird mix of can't wait to see how they end it, worried for Kim (what is going to happen to her?), and sad it's ending. 2 years almost to the day since season 5 ended.

Oxfam did say there'd be some new roles this year.
-
Thanks, was waiting for them to announce a live stream
-
Yeah, as much as it's a bit of a pain being outside the fence, Oxfam's field is relatively quiet at least. Apart from Wednesday morning when the police (I assume) helicopter seems to hover about 3 feet above my van.

That might well be the most 90s thing ever

I read Prisoners of Geography a few years ago. Its very good. I've recently seen and heard a few explainers on how we got to where we are with Ukraine and Russia and most of them seem to be a rehashing the Russia chapter (with newer bits added obviously)

If I'm not working then Macca. But I usually work Saturday night, so probably none
-
Dunno? How did Primavera get almost their whole line up booked and announced a year ahead?
-
In fact, the more I read about it. Don't send stuff, send cash.
-
This. 'Stuff' is sort of fine, but cash is better. Then the people who know exactly what is needed, can buy exactly what is needed.

That c**t from Lincolnshire has now realised he may have looked like a bit of a c**t the other day
-
That's what they want you to think...
-
I mean at this stage you've just got to admire the persistence really

This place is definitely at its best when people are making the same two points back and forth for 17 pages
