  1. Nope. It was 2015. First Foo Fighters, then that turned out not to be true (Dave Grohl broke his leg). Then Prince and that turned out not to be true (he pulled out). Then Fleetwood Mac turned out to be untrue as well (they pulled out due to the payday).

    SZA

    Sweet little track this one.
  3. Please don't ever share The Sun. 🤢
  4. It's always fun to take the piss out of people who are sharing info and leaks and are actually making a contribution before any announcements. The best kinds of discussion are saying "who?" at SZA and being arsey because people enjoy using another forum instead of this one. Better still, you've got to act like you've been "shouted down" for asking a question.
  5. Stuie mate, the only combination of "Stevie" and "lock" I can find since October on here is you...
  6. Because the behind the scenes situation changes - Stevie was definitely in the picture in the same way Prince was a few years ago. Also - some info comes with a mountain of salt, some comes at a high level of certainty. It depends on the source - or if it comes from multiple sources. Also - stuff like Dua/ Coldplay gets posted with a likelihood of 90%. Stevie is a fun rumour, but it's just a name in the ring.
  7. Tangk seems to have disappeared into thin air so they should get used to lower slots sadly.

    SZA

Desperation would be booking a cheap, Glasto friendly indie band like Foals.
  9. Struggling would be a top three of Coldplay/ Foals/ Kings of Leon or something.

    SZA

Fair Neil. I think I'm with you there - some artists have massive fanbases, but outside of their fanbase people may not be aware of them. Then you have people like Coldplay where no matter what you think of them you'll know a good 6/7 songs at least.

    SZA

She had the third most streamed album of the year in the UK. She's also headlining BST this year.
  12. I messaged Dua Lipa to ask whether she's headlining. She didn't get back to me on her main account, but her secret account did! She said she's playing Glastonbury and that we'll be married soon, but I just need to send her £60,000 worth of amazon gift cards to an address in Nigeria. So there's a self confirm.
  13. It's an all female lineup but Chris Martin will do a special guest during every performance to maintain gender balance.
  14. Or - that Coldplay info cannot be correct because nobody has info on the festival beforehand, so it's all guesswork?
  15. I maybe would have bought it if it wasn't for the "gender" thing. "Sorry my close personal friend Chris Martin, I know you're playing the festival for a packet of crisps despite being one of the biggest musicians on the planet, but we want a woman"
  16. Didn't realise she had a 00s pop punk banger in her pocket. If the Avril Lavigne rumours are true expect to see SZA on the side-lines.
  17. Not sure why there's so much animosity today. Maybe because it's Monday and people are antsy for an announcement? I'm surprised at people on here of all places acting like there's no chance people on the Disc0rd/ elsewhere get info before official announcements. It's their choice to share with us, and it's your choice to believe or not. But if someone's been right last time about a good portion of the line-up (as they were) I'm going to believe them. If you think there's no way someone would know outside of guessing and everyone's full of rubbish - that's your opinion.
  18. You're telling me SZA's fanbase of predominantly young women don't post on an internet forum in the year 2024?
  19. This is the attitude to have. I remember my first Glastonbury - 2016 and thinking "Muse? Adele? Coldplay? What a boring load of Radio 2 fodder." Thankfully, I went to see other things and enjoy myself without whinging constantly that things weren't to my taste.
  20. (Emily sobbing) "we just... we just had to book SZA... we couldn't get Stevie.... we've had to settle for one of the most successful and popular artists in the world.... Glastonbury is ruined"
  21. I forgot about this gp, you're right. Hugo was a big step up for him artistically IMO - I wouldn't be surprised if he just goes to Glastonbury as a punter.
  22. Nope. Despite being crap - Diana Ross could have headlined in 2022 instead of the legend. Most the acts that played are a bit cheesy/ dated but are good performers as well to singalong to. People like Dolly, Lionel, Tom Jones.
  23. According to the West Holts leak we have Danny Brown confirmed for the farm this year. Feels like an interest booking - his album with JPEGMAFIA last year was fantastic. I can imagine we're going to get: J Hus - released an album last year, British, worked with Drake, currently going through a new wave of popularity. Afroswing influenced British hip-hop. Strandz - playing Parklife, British rapper with a 90s influence, more lyrically focused. Loyle Carner - 6music staple, played the farm loads, on tour in early July. Unknown T /D-Block Europe - fairly generic UK drill which I don't have much time for but would make sense looking at dates. I really, really am hoping for CASISDEAD - he released my album of last year. He's influenced by synth-wave and cyberpunk and the album is a loose concept based on a dystopian London. He's worked with Desire, Kyle Dixon of Stranger Things and Neil Tennant to get a darker, 80s sound. He's playing a lot of festivals around the time and it would be cool to see him. Obviously he won a BRIT last night so big things happening for CAS. Who else do we reckon? Who are you hoping for?
  24. Amy Winehouse wasn't exactly the most original artist in the world - obviously Raye is influenced by her but she definitely has her own sound and style.
