Decided if the tickets arrive but my parents are out and then can’t collect from the post office I’ll go over and get them myself, after almost 3 years of waiting for them I will not miss getting those tickets in my hands.

Thanks for the replies re where to get my tickets posted to, I’ve decided to play it safe and get them posted to my parents and go visit them to pick them up. my only concern is if they are out when they come will they be able to collect them from the post office, obviously they share the same surname but how strict are the Post Office.( I’m flapping again)

Lionel Ritchie has cancelled his tour postponed from 2020, was supposed to be seeing him in Belfast at the beginning of June. Cancelled with refunds as opposed to postponed as it has been for the last 2 years.

I wouldn’t be that surprised if it ended up being a UK based artists only festival.

I wonder if they are struggling to get commitments from acts they will just try to give us the headliners but go back to the old days with the rest of the lineup and apart from a few self confirms we find out the lineup on the wednesday.

Yes a clean slate is absolutely how the weather works, although weather forecasting does use predicted trends, but to my ultra pessimistic mind if i expect mud I can only be pleasantly surprised when it’s not.😁 Also 66% of the Glastonbury’s I’ve attended have been complete mudfests and having lived locally to the festival I know what Somerset in summer can be like.

Due a wet one surely, wasn’t 2016 the last wet one? Even the fallow and cancelled years were predominantly dry, although I’d moved from the area before last year so I can’t vouch for that one. even if it is a wet one everyone will be so happy to be there who cares what the weather is doing.

Can’t remember the last time I went to a gig or event with a ticket that arrived by post, (probably the last Glastonbury I went to in 2017) it’s archaic and Glastonbury needs to get with the times, especially if they have pretentions of eco friendliness. Even here in Luxembourg where your bank debit card doesn’t work on that new fangled interwebnet thingy event tickets are e tickets.

Ok practically zero, but why does your gas have an near infinite lifespan? Outside of Star Trek could a gas even be intelligent? And even if it did live forever it may not be able to leave its planet or wherever it lives or could be so far away that it will never get to us before we go the way of the dinosaurs. Who knows? My point was yes aliens exist, have existed, will exist but what they aren’t doing is flying over us, probing some crows and occasionally crashing.

I saw lights over Glastonbury in 2007, 4 in a row, had no idea what they were at the time, almost certainly Chinese lanterns. whilst I absolutely believe we are not the only intelligent life in the universe I do not believe we are visited by that intelligent life. Not only are inhabitable planets separated by insurmountable distances but by billions of years, the chances of intelligent life existing on a planet close enough to us to be able to get to us at the same time that we exist is zero.

Quick question about ticket delivery. Having emigrated in 2020 this year will be our first year as a ‘foreigner’ I’m in a quandary whether to get the tickets sent to us in Luxembourg or to my parents in the UK. The post from the UK post Brexit is really quite slow so I’m wondering how far in advance do they post the tickets? I could just play it safe and get the tickets sent to my parents but that would mean a long detour to collect them and would mean coming to the UK before we had intended to.

Saw him headline Cornbury ( wife is a fan so I booked day tickets as a birthday pressie) he was very good and he is headlining again this year I think.

Ouch! For ‘16 and ‘17 we had a leisurely lie in, watched all the campervan pack up and leave, have a late breakfast/early lunch, leave about 1pm and arrive home home at 1.30pm. This year we will have to drive back to Luxembourg. Not particularly looking forward to that.
