48 at the end of this year, can’t say I feel any older than I did 15 years ago, I’m definitely fitter, but I did get a shock recently when I decided to grow a beard for the first time in my life and it came through almost completely white, that shit got shaved off straight away.

Currently packing to move flat at the beginning of June, just labelled up 3 boxes of stuff we will bring to Glastonbury so they are (hopefully) easier to find in the sea of boxes.

2 times in CVE, one year they checked the names, one year they didn’t, but that year was 2016 and the whole thing was a cluster fuck and they were just getting people on site by any means possible. not sure what the consequences are for the names not matching other than being refused entry, you could risk the cv ticket being confiscated.

Feel sorry for people not excited by the lineup, by any measure it’s a banger, wonder if people are going to too many gigs and festivals over the years.

No other festival seems to need so many people not doing a whole lot for 3 shifts as Glastonbury, it’s now at the point where the festival feels like it is there for the benefit of those working at it rather than the paying public, as soon as anyone queries the numbers the wagons circle and the defences go up. Got to protect those jobs for the boys.

It’s a shame Glastonbury doesn’t do a similar thing to latitude and their decorated hard plastic cups, I’ve kept a load of them and use them for picnics, parties etc. guess logistics are an issue with various bars being run by different groups.

I would suggest that the numbers of volunteers needs an audit.

There are vantage points around Pilton where anyone with a good telephoto lens can still get photos of any top secret surprises if they are that way inclined, GFL would have no right to have those removed.

Pretty much all big stage sound is crap, they mistake volume and bass for quality, vocals are tinny and lost in the bass.

One option for your camera is a Peak Design Capture, basically a quick release belt clip, not cheap but fantastic bit of kit, you can also attach them to rucksack straps. They are very secure, You can run with it attached and it’s not coming off.

Even eco friendly soap products must not be used within 100m of a water course, these products require time to degrade before entering water. Just be aware of where you dispose of the water that’s had these products in them.

200000 people produce way more piss than a couple of hundred cattle, it’s the volume in a short period of time that’s the issue, plus apart from some that may be on antibiotics, cattle aren’t putting various drugs into the land via their pee.

The answer is more urinals, if you go and there’s a massive queue people are going to be less fussed about peeing in the right place, especially once they have had a few. No good just saying don’t pee on the land, you have to provide enough toilets to meet demand. in itself peeing on the ground is not an issue, millions of animals do it multiple times a day, it’s the volume in concentrated areas that’s the issue.

I think the sea of flags is part of what makes Glastonbury what it is, that said there are too many and sod carrying one around all day. Mine stays in the CV field next to my motorhome.
