  1. I still want to know what happens if you turn up without a parking ticket...
  2. Did you leave with the main crowd after London Grammar had finished, or a bit before that?
  3. I was thinking about this band the other day...I saw them a few times around 2018 and then I think they just disappeared, I certainly haven't seen anything from them since. Shame as they were quite good.
  4. 2017 was lovely until the Sunday where it rained all day long, but if its going to do that then Sunday is the best day in my opinion.
  5. Walk to Bethnal Green station instead - it's a similar distance and you'll avoid most of the crowds.
  6. Saw them at Latitude and they were very good; they played some new songs too that sounded great. I know they've been mentioned but Just Mustard are similar (ie. loud guitars) so give them a try if you like Bdrmm.
  7. WH Lung are fantastic live - their frontman is a great performer.
  8. Could do with Working Men's Club playing for a bit longer, and Nadine Shah playing a bit earlier...but apart from that it's good for me.
  9. I wonder where it will end for these prices (talking specifically about venues/festivals selling cans - not draft pints). It's disgraceful to sell individual cans for one or two pounds more than you could get a pack of four of them in any shop or supermarket. Yet people still buy them...
  10. Every boutique booking comes with a personal bellboy this year.
  11. I'm thinking they are not expecting so many families this year due to it being during term time.
  12. Damn, besides Oldboy who I've never heard of every one of those is a must-see for me.
  13. They've already confirmed on social media they won't clash, but it just depends on how much time there is between the end of BBC and the start of Foals. Historically there's been anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes bands occupying the same slots, and with the change in site layout I would imagine they'll schedule at least a 15 minute gap and maybe more to allow people to get over to Foals in time.
  14. Unless you're an unvaccinated 80 year old, I wouldn't worry. Just get on with your life.
  15. Yes I think you're right actually, I didn't consider that.
  16. Personally I don't have an issue with that if the route ends at the wristband exchange.
  17. On the website it says if you leave the site and come back you will need to either retake a read test or show your covid pass - is the assumption that this only applies if you actually leave the festival altogether? Surely if you just pop back to your car then that is allowed? If so how do they at the wristband exchange know which people have actually left and who has just gone to their car? Do they usually have people at the site exit too? I have never actually left the site mid-festival so I don't know, although I may be this year.
  18. 😮 That's cool, hopefully they stick a few toilets out there....
  19. You say that, but it's a long time to go without stepping foot in either of those areas. I was sceptical at Latitude but after about two minutes it was as though Covid never happened. Personally the entry requirements are good enough for me not to worry too much about it once inside the festival, but of course each to their own as you said go with what you're comfortable with.
  20. Only a very small number of people will actually wear masks, and I'm sure the festival doesn't actually expect people to.
  21. I know of a few venues that that are requiring negative lateral flow test results as the only acceptable condition of entry, even if you're double vaccinated. But I would imagine EOTR will be the same as Latitude - either a negative lateral flow test (with the 'requirement' (as it's impossible to enforce) that you retest 48 hours after entering the site) or proof that you're double vaccinated. Would certainly be nice to get confirmation though.
  22. So looking at the map they've basically just swapped the North and West stages round, which seems a good idea as it could get pretty crowded at that North stage when the big acts were on. That does of course mean a longer walk between the two main stages (East and West) though. Seems like there is an additional entrance to the site as well - the Royal Gate entrance which is next to the West Stage,
  23. I don't start getting excited until it starts showing on the BBC forecast, which will be towards the end of next week. I start getting obsessive when it starts showing up on the Met Office a few days later, as that's usually more accurate.
