  1. Really enjoyed Kae Tempest and The Smile. Didn't enjoy the three drunk fools next to me during The Smile who talked pretty much constantly the whole way through (at the start of every song "I love this one" [proceeds to talk through whole song]). When it got too loud and I asked them to keep it down that completely triggered them, and at the end the 'big guy' in their group was trying to start something (I shook my head and walked off). Not sure why you'd get down to the front to see a band you obviously like (could tell they were actual fans from their conversations) just to talk through it (oh yes it's because alcohol turns people into idiots).
  2. Where is this luno thing where you can win stuff?
  3. Thanks but it's the nick cave day I want and it says none available. Will keep checking though.
  4. Do you just go to 'Buy Tickets' or is there somewhere else? I can see for the Nick Cave you can buy a VIP view ticket but that's one that includes entry as well but I already have a GA ticket. If I click on the 'VIP' bit it says no tickets currently available. Not sure if I'm looking in the wrong place or something...
  5. Does anyone know if you can upgrade to VIP view on the day and how much it is?
  6. I want to do VIP view for the Nick Cave day - the ticket places I've checked say it's sold out though. I'm hoping on the day they have VIP View upgrades available still as opposed to just VIP (which just gets you access to the VIP bit with food/bar/toilets).
  7. Does anyone know if you can upgrade to VIP (so you can get in the vip but at the front of the standing area) on the day and how much it costs usually?
  8. Don't get me started on smoking 😂
  9. There was some paint drying on the side of a wall that evening, drew quite a crowd. (Kidding, I love Pixies)
  10. I've seen him (under his 'William Doyle' name) both with a band and solo, and it did seem to work better playing with with others to be honest...seems like when he's on his own theres just so much for him to do. Such a shame to hear what happened to him though, as he's always saying how much he loves EOTR and I've seen him around the festival site even on years he wasn't playing.
  11. How were your sober experiences? I actually had to drop out of the festival for a personal reason which was disappointing, although it did mean I could attend Wide Awake on the Friday so wasn't a complete loss. So having attended a number of gigs and festivals sober now, I love things like not spending a small fortune on alcohol (£6.50 a pint in some places now!) and not spending half the day queuing for that privilege as well. I also like not having to go to the toilet after every band I see...basically my time is now primarily based around the music, whereas before it was based around drinking (although don't get me wrong, it was still massively about the music too). I will say one thing though...it is certainly a lot more noticeable now annoying drunk people are when you're sober. Not criticising one bit though as I've had almost 20 years of being like that myself.
  12. Maybe they are still adding the finishing touches to the site 😊
  13. There's no way boutique doesn't have its own toilets.
  14. He produced it, and he will be part of her band for her tour later in the year. Whether that means he will play with her during her main set at EOTR I'm not sure, but as already mentioned seems they have a little piano stage date planned.
  15. In 2018 they released them really early, I think it was about a week in to August. That was amazing.
  16. Working Men's Club seemed to have a nightmare the first couple of songs culminating in them walking off when the sound cut out completely. I actuality didn't think they would come back but they did and was all good in the end. Wish they had longer then half an hour though...
  17. Yeah but they changed it to online only, I think they did they around May this year. I'm not really fussed personally as I have bought a parking ticket, as will probably 99.9% of others - the sadist in me just wants to see what would happen if someone does turn up without having bought one.
  18. Same with me actually, was a pain to get out but I think even ten minutes in the BBC crowd were still filtering in. I still don't get why that didn't have BBC sub Foals and have Caribou headline the other stage...would have been far better for crowd movements and probably safer too.
  19. I rushed over to her from Caribou and felt bad about how small her crowd was. Ideally I would have seen her but the fact is I've seen her many times and Caribou only a couple, so I had to go with them.
  20. I gave up on Foals after a couple of songs, was down the right hand side and it sounded like I was listening to them through a £5 speaker from Home Bargains. I was very near the front for Caribou and I thought the sound was really good for them, so perhaps I just was just in a bad spot for Foals (not that I was too bothered about seeing them). Anyone see Swim School? They gained a fair amount of new fans today...a very confident young band, not really my cup of tea overall although enjoyable enough and will keep an eye on them.
  21. I would hope you'd be allowed to, although I certainly wouldn't risk it 😂
