  1. Hmm I disagree. They arguably could have headlined after “That’s The Spirit” and then they followed it up with “Amo” which was another success and could have headlined off that again so to book them this year under the old format as an outright headliner I don’t think they would have needed the kind of support you are suggesting.
  2. I don’t think many on here would have questioned FR if BMTH had been booked to headline the festival in the old format, I would say the consensus on here would have been very positive but possibly on Twitter it may have been met with the same response akin to Rage’s booking. I still say it would have been a strong booking in regards to bumping up a band who 100 per cent deserved that chance.
  3. Noel Gallagher subbing Harry Styles? Could you imagine? Dinnae think his ego will ever allow that to happen. Loving the shout for The Weeknd though, would be an instant day ticket for me with the hope that Paramore are playing the same day.
  4. 40 year anniversary of Kill ‘Em All though so I’m hedging my bets on that.
  5. Yeah I’d take from that that Pantera are booked, good spot.
  6. From what I was hearing backstage on Friday Danny Brown was pretty out of it before going on stage and it was a sh*t show trying to get him on, one of his crew also wasn’t there and they had to get one of the 100 Gecs crew to sort out something to do with his stage management. Dunno if all that played a part in his walk off but was just what I saw.
  7. Anyone hear any funny comments/exchanges either in the campsite or arena or even shuttle bus at either venue?
  8. I saw “carti for MSW” and presumed it was a typo for “Cardi” as in Cardi B. Playboi Carti as a headliner? On either stage I think that’s a stretch but I have no idea if he has anything dropping in the next 12 months.
  9. Paramore “weak”? Really? I don’t see them as a weak booking. I think they’d go over far better than Rage or Queens of the Stone Age. There’s a huge resurgence in pop punk with MGK and Yungblud, Avril Lavigne also to an extent. I think if MCR’s comeback is anything to go by Paramore would be welcomed back with open arms.
  10. Oh are they playing the Bowl? I glossed over the venues as I’d made my mind up to go to Glasgow so presumed it was the MK Stadium. Christ, when was the last time anyone played the Bowl? Used to love going there back in the day to see Metallica and Green Day amongst others.
  11. I'd be incredibly happy if we got Paramore as the legacy act next year if Muse are out of the running. It hurts my brain to say that Paramore are the "legacy" act but I suppose they would be considered that older band on the bill nowadays.
  12. I'd say Muse UK tour rules them out of Glastonbury for sure now, possibly R&L also but not strictly so.
  13. I wouldn't even bother getting a day ticket for that. No interest in Panic! or Yungblud, I'm in the minority that finds Billie live boring and BICEP don't really inspire me as a live act either. Chilli Peppers I've seen live twice and been terrible both times. Doja Cat I would be interested in but unless it has a strong undercard I don't think I'd bother.
  14. Does anyone know what time the announcement is?
  15. All these fan made pics of the prospective line ups look great but I really hope Pantera aren’t going to be booked. I’m of the age that I experienced them the first time around and I loved them but I don’t want to see them now without the Abbott bros and now we know what a racist pr*ck Phil is. Yes there’s an argument to be made about the art versus the artist and separation but not in a live setting in my view, I don’t want to see that pr*ck get the adoration of x amount of thousands going apesh*t for the music.
  16. I might be wrong/confused but I think he said that would be stateside shows as they’d already done OoS in full at R+L before. That gig was magical at SBE though. My missus had dumped me literally that morning and I was bummed out and went along and to see them drop ‘Easily’ and ‘Glorious’ soon got me out of my funk lol.
  17. I was at that gig, absolutely immense!!! Lost my sh*r when they played ‘Easily’. I’d love to see them back but I just don’t think next year will be the one, far more likely for R+L. There’s a part of me wondering if they will show up there for a secret set this year considering the album is released that weekend but it’s just wishful thinking.
  18. If I go back for the first time in years I’d like them to be there. I was put off by the imagery thinking they’d be cheesy but after listening to them more I’m a fan. Been listening/watching old Slipknot sets from years gone by at Download and I really hope they are the fourth headliner now. I’m still a bit put off by the price but think that’s just coz I’m an old b*stard and remember a time when it cost half of what next year will be but I’m thinking now if the headliners are what we’ve been talking about then I will go.
  19. Sign me up for any NIN appearance.
  20. Bro, I'm as horrified as you. He's one of those people who think Download book great acts year on year, that music died at the end of the '80's and that Iron Maiden are more influential than The Beatles. He also plays Leeds United and only Leeds United on Football Manager each and every year for the past 20 years. He's such a boring b*stard. But he's my boring b*stard lol.
  21. I don't think I'd be all that mad at that though you know...although I wouldn't be attending 🤣
  22. I'll take it. I wouldn't go see Ted or Def but ma double denim pal will be all over it so it will balance out in terms of us both wanting to by tickets. Never done it before even at the height of their success so I don't see them choosing to do it now, if they are doing their own one off show it's far more likely to be a London based stadium show.
