  1. "Arena" is used a bit loosely here, that one in Manchester is about 4,000 capacity and it's a rebrand of the Bowlers Entertainment Centre which usually hosts genre weekenders and the like.
  2. Maidstone - Quito - Bournemouth is some move.
  3. Hot Chip are the 15th, Foals, the 16th. The SBSR website is an absolute disaster, but you can find the dates by trawling their Instagram posts. The end times are hard to predict, like a lot of European festivals the headliner isn't always the last act on. They do have music on until about 2am I think.
  4. She's definitely Sunday, it's on the tweet she put out with all of the rescheduled dates (I hadn't seen that earlier).
  5. Aldous Harding has re-arranged her tour that was due in March/April, with most of it moved to 2023 but the Glasgow date now on the EOTR Friday, so that narrows down which day she is at EOTR.
  6. Massive Attack in Dublin 28 August (along with Italian dates in June mentioned on the other thread).
  7. True, could well be, like I say artist websites often just show the first day of the festival (even when they have another show on the same date). It would mean a Birmingham - Manchester - EOTR route but as you say he's billed high so I'm sure it's worth his while.
  8. Kurt Vile - Thursday (artist website - I know they often show the first day of the festival but he's playing Moseley on the Friday and Manchester Psych on the Saturday).
  9. The Weather Station - Saturday (artist website)
  10. Hurray for the Riff Raff - Sunday (artist website)
  11. If a crossover with EOTR/APE is expected, Fleet Foxes aren't part of it - playing in Dublin on the 28th and Scottish dates on 30th and 31st (as well as their EOTR and APE dates).
  12. I know it's not quite the same thing but I checked the FAQs a while ago because I'd bought my daughter a ticket (when we were going in 2020 she couldn't make it, but can in 2022) and because I was logged in on Festicket it put my name on the ticket automatically (there was probably a way to overwrite it but I didn't think to change it). So I was briefly worried about them linking ticket names to ID, but it says: Can I buy a ticket for someone else to use? Yes, tickets are not nominative. They also say: Mad Cool is not responsible for those tickets purchased at non-official retailers. But I think that's more them saying if you buy from a non-official source and it turns out to be fake/duplicate, that's your problem not theirs.

    Idles

We got waved into a car park near the venue and they wanted 20 quid! So we reversed out and made the hi viz guy who was deliberately blocking the road get out of the way, and went over the bridge and got a tight spot in a pay and display for 4.50 (would have been 3.00 if we'd been able to be in and out in three hours). Second time at Victoria Warehouse and still not keen on it, don't like dark venues where you load in from the back and can't see where the gaps are, so you end up with a logjam at the back with loads of spaces in front of it (SWG3 in Glasgow is similar). Thought Idles were fine but not quite as much fun as when I've seen them previously, I just took it to be a sign of them maturing as a live act and letting the focus be more on the music.
  14. The ticket page suggests there are only three stages, and it runs from 11am-11pm - and there are over 60 acts on that poster so there must be a lot of short sets to fit all of them in.
  15. 1. Self Esteem - Prioritise Pleasure 2. The War on Drugs - I Don't Live Here Anymore 3. Arlo Parks - Collapsed in Sunbeams 4. Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert 5. Wolf Alice - Blue Weekend
  16. 1. Torres - Thirstier 2. Self Esteem - Prioritise Pleasure 3. White Electric Guitar - Trans White, Solid Korina Body 4. Marthagunn - Something Good Will Happen 5. Deafheaven - Infinite Granite 6. Emma Ruth Rundle - Engine of Hell 7. The War on Drugs - I Don't Live Here Anymore 8. Arlo Parks - Collapsed in Sunbeams 9. Little Simz - Sometimes I Might Be Introvert 10. Wolf Alice - Blue Weekend
  17. Pixies are headlining End of the Road in early September (as well as Bingley Weekender in early August). They'll probably do others, they don't seem to be limiting themselves.
  18. Mad Cool have sent out an email largely in response to the confusion about when you can get the 50% discount on the Sunday tickets - but also one of the other things on it is that there are no more "full" tickets going on sale and it is now day tickets only (I know this question comes up a lot so might be helpful for some).

    BST 2022

They are touring America with RHCP in August and September.
  20. Good additions today on top of what was already a packed line up, incredible value. We've got 4-day tickets but not going to bother with the extra day - there's enough going on in the four days already and I'd be surprised if the missing Sunday headliner turned out to be a "must see" act in our eyes, seems more likely to be another Spanish act - of course there is no predicting what they'll do but think we're happy to sit the 5th day out for now.
  21. Wonder if that means it won't be a full bill that day, and/or whether it will be largely dance acts? If they are putting on an extra day purely because of the opportunity to get Swedish House Mafia, it doesn't seem much point booking rock and indie acts to go against/alongside them.
  22. A couple of the templates mention specific acts in the "explaining things to your boss" bits, something like "I've got a meeting with Leon Bridges" and Twenty One Pilots get a mention in another. Which like all of it, could be significant or could be random nonsense. There's also the strange phrase in the template shown upthread "older than a forest", which could have pointed towards The Cure if they hadn't played recently.
  23. They had the board out, and the singer was just getting the camera out as I was leaving, so I disappeared into the night and saved them having to put my mug on there! I had a look at the board, must have been a long running project as there were some dated 2019.
  24. Not my first back but saw MarthaGunn last night in Newcastle, really enjoyed it. It was small crowd in a small venue - the singer mentioned that they'd heard from people that had bought tickets and then got a cancellation email saying it was off - but everyone there seemed to enjoy it. I bought something off the merch table and the guy out of the band who was serving asked me out of curiosity how I'd heard of them and I said they had quite the following on efestivals and he was pleased with that!
  25. Pulled Apart by Horses have just announced a date there (in April 2022) so they can't be far off re-opening. I walked past there one day in August and it seemed busy with activity.
