  1. Ugh. Right. Glasto was fine, carried the heavy pack and tent in ok, heat didn't get to me, back gave me no trouble, happily moving around, all good. But... Noticeably in worse shape than I have been for years. Rugby retirement definitely hasn't helped, along with work and a few other bits. It's all relative so a lot of people would / do think I've got nothing to worry about, but it's really noticeable for me. My favourite festival shorts are no longer comfy on the waist, so had to go for the bigger pair. Weight's up, along with body fat. So going to join back in here and get myself back on track. Started already. Signed myself back into MyFitnessPal as I've completely lost track of what I'm eating in terms of calories and macros. Realised I haven't really adjusted my diet since I went veggie, so the numbers are actually a bit all over the place. Way too much bread, not enough protein, and God only knows the calories I've actually been chucking back! Certainly need to get cheese & onion pasties, cookies and choc back under control. Exercise-wise I've gone back to the training plan I was given by a PT mate of mine back in 2019 that worked really well with an adjusted diet. Not going all in on the diet plan as it was unsustainable, but it's a useful starting point. Gym three times a week and two or three cardio sessions in between is the plan. I've got a holiday with some mates to France for the rugby in September, and tbh I'm honest enough to own my vanity and admit I want to look decent by the pool! EDIT: manifest this sh*t to the universe. Current weight is just under 87kg but really should be somewhere around the 82kg mark, dependent on muscle growth. Bigger one is body fat; that's at 21.2% but target is to get it back to sub-17%. Bring it on.
  2. That run is making my feet ache just reading it

    Favourite DJ Set

I keep walking past the Mez bar and mean to try it. Aside from anything else I loooove mezcal and tequila! Definitely one for next year. What's the music vibe in there?

    Third world

Just seen they're playing Brighton next Friday. Based on the positive reviews I've seen on here I might get myself a ticket
  6. Somehow I managed to get around mine without feeling like I was pinging about too much, certainly in comparison to last year. I think the lack of must sees meant that I wasn't trying to cover the distance between stages at opposite ends of the site so much, and either seeing who was on nearby or even staying at the same stage for a bit. Also meant I was happy to amble rather than march places
  7. Personally I'd love to see Billy Joel.

    2023 New Music

Duly noted! Still need to listen to the Bully album that @st dan recommended a few weeks back as well

    2023 New Music

Right, time to get back on this and start prepping for next year! What's on the radar today then? Got Grian Chatten, Japanese House and bdrmm lined up so far
  10. Agreed, especially with how much more crowded the big stages have felt. I think the only ones in my list where I'd say I had to fight for space wer Ben Howard (although that was just bizarre) and Elton. Everything else was able to comfortably get to a decent position, move about, find people and wander off as I fancied. So much more enjoyable.
  11. The joy for me is that very few (if any) of mine were must sees. Was very happy to be led by others a bit this time around, and it was a blast!
  12. Gone back and had a look, didn't do too badly this year. TBH I didn't find the heat affected me in getting around. Not all full sets but most were. This Is Inja (Glade Dome) London Elektricity (Glade Dome) Wheel Of Four Tunes (Sensation Seekers) Ben Howard (Other) Lightning Seeds (Other) Louis Cole (West Holts) Lottery Winners (Avalon) The Comet Is Coming (Park) Young Fathers (West Holts) Hot Chip (Woodsies) Four Tet (IICON) Gentlemen's Dub Club & Hollie Cook (Truth) Max Richter (Park) Lathums (Other) Working Men's Club (Woodsies) La Familia Rosso (Big Top) Fisherman's Friends (Avalon) Dreadzone (Glade) Manic St Preachers (Other) Guns 'n' Roses (Pyramid) Ivo Graham (Cabaret) John Francis Glynn (Park) Gwenno (Park) Big Moon (Woodsies) Teskey Brothers (Other) Slowdive (Woodsies) Editors (Woodsies) Elton John (Pyramid) Chainska Brassika (Bimble Inn)
  13. I had that this year. Nothing on Acoustic, barely anything on Pyramid or West Holts, Last year I hardly went to Woodsies or Other, was at both this year. I did finally make my overdue visit to the Temple. Possibly the happiest / most surprised I saw @bennyhana22all weekend 😄

    2024 Headliners

Saw Dua Lipa at the O2 with Mrs Q last year. I'm not the biggest fan but I can say with a pretty reasonable level of confidence that she'd absolutely smash through a headline slot.

    Just got back

That was my thought. Didn't see the whole Glade set but as good as it was it's definitely missing Spee. Is his health likely to let him back on stage do you think, or is that him done?

    Odd Moments

    I thought I'd imagined that
  21. One of my only grumbles is that the layout in Greenpeace now with the tree means that TTT isn't quite the chilled haven it used to be. Still made my trip there and put my feet up with a brew to gather thoughts, but it's a little harder to really give yourself a moment. Obvs plenty of other places I can / could go for quiet time, but TTT hold a special place in my heart for doing that.
  22. Higher, no two ways about it. If I go next year I'm probably going to be looking at adjusting my packing so I can take stuff for breakfasts, which I've never done before as I love all the food options there. But yep, it's going up.
  23. I got those before I went to watch Ivo Graham. Absolutely amazing, normally have their one with the tapenade but this was top notch. They also demanded I sing my order in the style of Lady Marmalade before they'd give it to me.
