    Virtual Meet

Green Man is same weekend as BDs, weekend of the 20/21/22
  2. @Dukeicon you are Amy Montgomery and I claim my ten pounds.
  3. Genuinely going to be disappointed if we meet up and you don't look like John Belushi
  4. I was quite surprised they included it, I had assumed that they would just go for competitive sparring. Kata is definitely one for the purists, your average viewer has absolutely zero idea what's good and what isn't. You could say the same about gymnastics or diving in terms of the fine detail of what constitutes a good score for the judges, but they manage to be a bit exciting to watch for anyone just because flippy spinny stuff always looks cool. Kata does not.
  5. I was sober and I had no bloody idea what was going on
  6. Quite tempted to get my mate wrecked and then take him to watch Henge 😄
  7. My bad, now I have no idea which bloody post I copied from! It's a strong start from me 😂

  9. Pretty much what it says on the tin. Any must sees, might sees, avoid like the plagues? Or anything intriguing popped up from build up listening based on the poster? I haven't got much in the way of must see bands. Will likely be at the main stage for all three headliners, nothing much in the Big Top to pull me away there. From previous experience I definitely want to see The Skints, Ferocious Dog and Dreadzone, and will be dragging my mate to the Barsteward Sons as he's never heard of them. Will probably end up catching 3 Daft Monkeys as I end up seeing them every time they play, often by accident. Not seen them before, but have had The Big Moon, Gentlemens Dub Club and Skindred on my to do list for a while. And I've had a few people recommend Dubioza Kolektiv. And as far as playlist discoveries go, I'm well up for Gary Numan. Never looked beyond Cars and Are Friends Electric? before, but really liking his live albums. Imelda May completely passed me by until now but sounds like she'll be a blast, and never heard of Wild Front before but really looking forward to them as well. Just looking forward to seeing what noises grab my attention!
  10. We could take shifts to push you around the site, but it would mean you'd have to sit and watch whatever shite we decided to take you to 😄

    2022 Headliners

I might go and see Foals. I'd definitely go to shout abuse at Sunak.

    Lizzo

Inject that straight into my veins
  13. That's shit out of luck! Don't think I had any real clashes in '18. Probably the closest was that I would have gone to see The Hives on the main stage but my brother really wanted to see Suzanne Vega in the big top, so we went with that as it was his first proper festival. To be fair he made a good call, might not have been a big old party but she was bloody great.
  14. TBH it's hard to get massive clash issues with this many stages 😄 On to sorting out travel logistics with my mates now. Hopefully the weather this weekend will be decent and I can get my tent out to air and start putting my camping gear together. Might knock up a couple of flavoured vodkas for the meet and general shenanigans as well.
  15. Gotcha. So only two of the bands I've got tix for seem to be playing Brizzle on current tours, both at Thekla in October. Red Rum Club and Slow Readers Club. I'd love to see Fightmilk but they aren't coming this way, but they're in Bristol in October as well. Everyone else seems to be avoiding the place! 😄 Oh, and good luck with the move 👍
  16. James Blunt it is then. And remind me where(ish) you are, or at least reasonable gig locations?
  17. Give us some pointers then - any acceptable / unacceptable genres? Other bands that are yay or nay?
  18. So what did you end up seeing pal? Any good finds or pleasant surprises?

    2022 Headliners

I think that happened a long time ago. My storylines are becoming less believable by the day. Gradually becoming a latter-day Simpsons...
