Well I’d guess as Neil has added them there’s new info! Ha.
Presumably subbing or headlining it @eFestivals
Scroll up one comment, my friend

Two Door Cinema Club are 'SR' for the Other Stage now. They're headlining some festivals this year, would that be a top slot?

I'm 3 weeks clean for the first time - I'd never even thought about giving up, and I just woke up one day with no cravings at all after smoking 12 years. My last cigarette was disgusting even. So I took the chance to quit, and I guess I'm an ex-smoker now.
Slightly concerned because I don't think "waking up and not being addicted any more" is actually a thing, but I'm not thinking about it too much. And it has been handy to have a vape (with no nicotine) on hand for those times I'd be lighting up usually.

Yeah, so what happened there. They pull out?
The Chili Peppers pulled out last minute, Glasto were lucky to get Lenny Kravitz to fill the slot, Michael Eavis swore the Red Hot Chili Peppers would never play Glastonbury.
Apparently they pulled out because of Flea's chronic fatigue syndrome, but I have to imagine that was a cover for Anthony's chronic heroin misadventures.

So they have. Even took a back seat to the Red Hot Chili Peppers going by the poster. Be a few on here gutted they missed that one.
Incidentally the Chili Peppers have never played.

I am wondering how many of the people who Really want Macca to play were there when he played in 04?
My first Glasto was in '05 and I'd been hoping for Macca or Bowie ever since.

Did he say what he was like? And was this early or late 80s? Wondering if this was around the whole legendary thing with Jarvis falling out the window trying to impress a girl or something.
Would have been late 80's. That's all I've got.

Ooo what other stories?
Nothing that I remember. I think he said he was friends with a band and got to meet Jarvis a few times because of it. Maybe he was a roadie? For all I know he's just full of shit, lol.

My Dad grew up in the area in the 80s, he's told me stories of meeting him here and there.
He said Jarvis went home with a (female) friend of his, whose sofa my Dad was sleeping on that night. Poor bloke.
Friends don't believe me anyway, it's just one of those stories.

His gig last night in Glasgow was described in a newspaper as the Hydros greatest night. A mixture of great sounds and raw emotion brought tears to eyes.
I cried twice!

The Undertones opening the Pyramid in 2005. Some girl was screaming "PLAY TEENAGE KICKS!!!" the whole time.

He said 2/3 acts [have never played] if I remember correctly. Not necessarily headliners and we believe it’s The Cure, Kendrick and Macca pretty much nailed
The Cure have headlined Glastonbury at least 3 times already, according to Wikipedia, even if it's been a long time. Macca headlined 2004.

Lauren laverne has just said on her show that she's been told by a steward that there is a big surprise at Strummerville at 10 pm on Sunday.
Other people have been saying that's Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes.

The Big Moon are releasing their first album in April, I discovered them at Glastonbury in Williams Green and have seen them on tour since. Quality girl band.

Just did and can't say it grabbed me. As someone said, just bland r'n'b. Mary J Blige slot for sure.
His latest album has a 95 on Metacritic.

With this booking and Beck, someone at Glasto has good taste.

Their touring is a mess, but at least they're making decent music again... new album is probably the first good one since Pinkerton. That's about 20 years of awful music from them, after making 2 masterpieces. Wonder what went wrong.
Consistency is their only problem. Some of Weezer's best songs come from albums that aren't Blue or Pinkerton, those albums just aren't great from start to finish like the first two.
Imagine an album with Hash Pipe / Island In The Sun / Dope Nose / Keep Fishin' / Beverly Hills / Greatest Man That Ever Lived / Pork & Beans / Angel & The One / If You're Wondering If I Want You To / Memories / Back To The Shack. It would blow The Blue Album out of the water.

After seeing that 2016 line up poster where Radiohead was highlighted in letters going down it and it was designed by their album cover designer, I'm taking that as a cheeky clue that they are playing somewhere. I'm probably wrong but I will not let the hope die!
Gonna need to see that poster mate.

I'm clutching at straws cos it means he definitely can't clash with Polly. But he is more of an Other type act I reckon too.
If it weren't for the Bring Me The Horizon rumours I would have pegged him as an Other Stage headliner.

Bastard. I had a ticket and my coach from Sheffield got cancelled because of low sales. Still curse the Midlands' pleb tastes for that day.

Instead of a robot-captcha-prove-youre-a-human-thingy, you should simply be asked a Radiohead trivia type question, thus proving you are a fan and human
