The last time I actually got tickets myself I had 20 odd PCs turned on but I actually got through on my old iPhone via 4G, I think its all luck of the draw!

Part of the beauty of it, all that prep and manic F5ing and suddenly appears on the phone of all things!

Ok the first thing is don’t panic or worry about device numbers or speed if you can’t influence it ... the second is be organised and have everything ready and to hand and organised within your groups ... there is a massive thread on hints and tips for the main sale which I will link in a min ... but there are only a few bits that may prove of use ... access to a live spreadsheet will help aswell

Yeah I remember scrolling through that thread many times over the years, and many of the tips being not too helpful! Organisation is definitely the MVP here though.

Would love to be included and help others in the resale to.

We have been 4 out the last 5 time and were gutted to miss out for the big 50. My usual trick of going into work turning on 20 odd PCs failed me this time round.

Will email my details over now

It's when I hear stories like this that I realise I have no idea what can be done to improve the odds...other than an amazing spreadsheet put together by @crazyfool1 and @vintagelaureate of course 💪

Just so you know guys we had to pull out from the spreadsheet because of financial and crazy landlord reasons. We are going to still try to help you out on resale day (and maybe we'll try on our own, but it's still to decide).

@Monie802 sorry for leaving you, I wish you the best of luck. :)

Ah no, sad to hear that, hope everything gets sorted and you still manage to make it to the farm 😄

Long time lurker - first poster.

Not really seen much mentions but what are we saying about Biffy Clyro? Probably Other Stage headliner, but could they be the 3rd Pyramid headliner? New album out soon, kept mentioning wanting to do it last year, and done all the other UK major fests. Would have thought they would have announced Kendrick Lamar seeing as hes been mentioned just as much as the other two who were nailed on for ages...

    Welcome my friend!

Yeah think Kenny is pretty certain now. Been whispers of it a lot, and lines up with BST. They don't really tend to announce based on who has been spoken about, not that I think anyone knows what reason there is for announcing acts when they do, probably contractual.

Biffy also subbed not too long ago (2016 I think) so coming back to headline now would be a bit odd. Other stage headliner is definitely possible, or a surprise slot in JPT or the like.

Yeah possibly. Don’t get me wrong I think he is a great addition for Glastonbury even if I won’t be anywhere near it. I do also wonder if people just think BST is a bit shit, I have been twice and it’s a terrible set up and far too quiet. I can’t think of many people who would drag me back there at those prices and I guess your younger fan is probably going to struggle with a £100 ticket whereas the average fan of Springsteen for example (one of my two visits) tends to be older with far more disposable income.

Yeah this is a factor definitely, I think people would rather just see them on a tour or go to a proper festival .

Technically there's nothing stopping him, but his tour finishes in May and there's lack of festival dates anywhere else so it looks unlikely.

Mmmm the lack of festival dates does dampen the rumour somewhat. But not unheard of for acts to come over to just do Glasto. A stop off before popping across the pond.

Although the gap before North America could just be to go home for a couple of months which would be fair play

just tweeted see tickets and had a reply about the groups at different locations .... Its a bit of a bloody pain but here is the response .... im sure there are ways around it ... secure delivery companys for starters..

Aye, we should be able to sort it one way or another

We got your back mate , we all know people who always seam to get tickets and go every year , the reason is they are in a huge group of friends and family and they run a military operation on ticket day .

your now part of the resale family with a great team of helpers 🙂

I like this, let's go with this

  10. 1 minute ago, crazyfool1 said:

I did think this the other day ... there must be a way of splitting delivery by contacting see might incur an extra delivery fee ... might be worth tweeting them ?!

Yeah, maybe one to sort out once we get there 😏

  11. Yeah, there's always going to be a certain amount of trust involved. The refund thing is a good point actually, can just cancel the booking if they don't pay, the rest is then charity which is all good 😃 one thing though, do all tickets get posted to lead booker, is there a way to get some delivered to a different address? Just thinking for groups where there is 2 pairs put together, will they have to arrange posting/handover of tickets?

    EDIT

Obviously getting ahead of myself and therefore jinxing any success in the sale

It’s mega heartwarming and I doff my hat to the incredible hard work put in by @vintagelaureate and @crazyfool1 for creating the spreadsheet of hopes and dreams ( most importantly success  ). And keeping everyone’s spirits high , it’s got to be the best and well organised resale club EVER . It’s so uplifting to see and a true manifestation of the glasto spirit. It’s all about numbers and multiple unique connections, we have that in spades , but always room for more help and connections. Let’s paint that spread sheet green like the hallowed green gates of Glastonbury.

i have Mrs Big D and the kids ( don’t worry, they are all 20yr old plus )  trying from the big D homestead, I will be opening my office to try from there with one of my engineers on the recently upgraded broadband (550mb) .

come in guys . We have SO GOT THIS!

Oh here it comes, the hope, the excitement, I can't bear it! 😵

Just found out my friend will be away for both resale days fortunately with a house full of help  ... In Dublin ... so hopefully will bring us some luck of the Irish ... just checking a UK  debit card is ok ?

    Yep, the site says:

"UK Tickets can now be purchased with a UK debit card or Visa or Mastercard credit cards."

    https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/tickets/#BOOK

    EDIT

Realised you probably meant a UK debit card from Dublin, but assume this will also be fine - as long as the tickets are shipping to UK.

I’ve got some decent numbers too closest friends trying for spreadsheet after mine ... I think trying to get people to turn it green is the important thing so the people that get in don’t waste too much time trying for already successful ones... it’s the best prepared one I’ve seen in my time on here but it definately needs to be ... I’m going to have a live device with the spreadsheet showing so I can be seeing it update in real time

This is hopefully going to be the most heartwarming thing, seeing all the hard work pay off. Thanks again for sorting/organising/mobilising!

  15. 23 hours ago, crazyfool1 said:

The important thing being that everyone brings those kind of numbers along and everyone is willing to help the others on the spreadsheet and has access to it ... I know ( im realistic) that it won't happen in all cases .... and it is of course going to be tough .... but everyone starting to mobilise the numbers now is important

Definitely, strength in numbers, I'll have at least 10 helping the two of us that are in the spreadsheet. Hoping to recruit more as we get closer.

  16. 1 hour ago, crazyfool1 said:

With the spreadsheet closing soon .... we have 120 names on there currently ..... if every team brings along an additional 4 helpers ... for some maybe this isn't possible ... but id hope so .... we could (potentially ) have 480 people helping to get people on the farm ..... this is without the numerous fantastic people who have offered their time to help on resale day ..... now if those people all help on bus resale day we could bring those numbers to more favourable levels should we manage to secure some tickets from that .... and of course some will have more helping them than those numbers ... everyone I would hope can bring at least one person onboard I dont think thats outrageous ...some thoughts to hopefully get some people motivating the troops ...

4 sounds reasonable I think, and with those stats there's reason to be optimistic

been having a chat with @vintagelaureate about shutting the spreadsheet to new applicants at the end of this month to allow associations / friendships to be formed .... any comments or objections ? we can then focus on getting some help ... and vintage can have a well deserved rest for a bit :)

    Like the idea, sounds good
