Can’t believe the Latitude setlist isn’t on Setlist FM yet. Standards are slipping.

I loved London 2012, had not long moved down to the Smoke and managed to go to so much stuff - went to football at Wembley, basketball at the O2, synchronised swimming at the Aquatics Centre. Went to a few 9am hockey matches just so that we could spend all day in the Olympic Park afterwards. Best bit was being in the main stadium to see Usain Bolt win gold in the 200m.

I usually love the Olympics and drink in as much of it as I possibly can when it's on, but I just have zero enthusiasm for it this year. Mixture of empty stadia, pullouts and caveats due to COVID and an inconvenient timezone mean I just cannot be arsed with it.

Remember Jupitus getting very angry a few years ago during Marcus Brigstock's daily morning show in the Cabaret Tent (think it was called Early Edition, loved it and always started the day with it) at a punter who asked if he was there on the BBC's dollar. He did not like that question one bit.

Think this is my stance, fees don't really bother me. I just look at the final number.

More likely is that they’ll simply stop telling you what the fees are and just display one final price - ticket + fees + everything else = the price you see.

I buy tickets from whoever is selling them. Sometimes that means going through the likes of TM and See and paying the fees. These days I don’t even look at the fees and consider the final amount as the ticket price. Worth remembering too that presales are usually done via the likes of TM. Sometimes it feels worth paying the fee just to guarantee a ticket and/or better seats.

Can’t wait to have a little nap to this in front of the Pyramid in 2023.
