I think their line up is a mess this year. looks to me like they know they're going to sell tickets regardless. very little continuity throughout each day. the exodus before Pulp will be scary

I said this in another thread I think but I've heard he's only playing a few UK festivals. Glasto, one in Scotland and believe it's only one more, I only got as far as 'maybe Parklife' as person telling me couldn't remember for sure

It's the same site yeah - that's where I was slightly confused about the increased camping also. We'll see what happens soon though Neither Noel or Biffy are playing, but don't think they'd be totally out of place in the future. I'd say one of the days is a bit more like that but the other 2 are very much in keeping with being different/alternative compared to their other offerings

One thing, I gather they're making 'improvements' this year. Know there was some discussion about stage placing and general co-ordination of site. It was also the plan is to increase the camping offering - it was pitched to me as room for multiple thousand to camp, but I'm unsure how that'll play out with the later licence being rejected because of noise complaints.

I said no to Noel a page or so back. None of YYYs, The Strokes or Aphex are playing here

Heard they're headlining/co-headlining Otherlands up in Scotland. Maybe a start of going up

Don't know all dates but they're definitely in the UK in late August

i don't know for absolute certain, but i have pretty good reason to believe LCD wont be in the UK until 2024

However certain you'd like me to be. I mean I won't be offering any compensation if it isn't, but it's in Dundee

My initial response was are you sure it isn't West Holts when I was told about the other, but they seemed pretty sure it was the other. He's only playing a couple of shows in the UK in the summer which tilted me into believing it

I don't have the best ways into Glasto whispers but someone that might know what he's upto told me yesterday Mr Again is headlining the other stage

Not a different direction as such, but tickets didn't sell brilliantly last year and it made a fair loss so would have been easy to go a lot more mainstream to try get more in. The plan is to extend the camping facility by a fair bit to make that a bigger option Line up fairly soon yeah, within the next few weeks I gather

I actually don't know about the gigs around it, but they're not at the festival. It'll take a fair amount of guessing the headliners. It's pretty out there

They probably don't care as it's more popular than ever, but Coachella looks a festival at a really weird junction in terms of it's line up. That Gen Z/traditional crossover makes a pretty confusing and frankly not very good line up

that up against something like GnR would be ridiculously busy. would need some big draws elsewhere

Metallica are still tight as a drop musically. GnR in that respect - lol

I think GnR is comfortably the worst headliner booking they've ever made. They must have been really low on options
