From experience, I'd be very surprised if they didn't just let you in. I think it's unlikely they'd even question it, but if they did I doubt there'd be a big fuss. The van/caravan fields aren't anything like as strictly regulated as at Glastonbury.
BDs have responded and said it wouldn't be allowed and they're in different fields. Cheers though x

They are separate fields
There will be loads of CV tickets available on twickets and the like at face value or below soon
Thank you. I have one already, it's for a friend. I appreciate your reply 😊 x

I've asked amongst my friends for a campervan pass for sale. I've been offered a caravan/trailer tent pass. Would a campervan be allowed in on a caravan pass? I've emailed BDs and awaiting a response, but I'm impatient and don't want to leave my friend with the pass for sale hanging 🤣
Thank you x

Am on Team 2 🙂
Cool. There were 3 teams last year, all starting furthest away from Toms field and working back. In response to your previous question, yes you can keep any booze found, and there will be alot of it. People tend to leave some in Toms field marquis.

I've been offered post festival shifts with recycling. Anyone done it before?
Yes I have. What team are you on? I'm team 1. We basically cleaned up the campsites Tues - Thursday, 8-5pm with a lunch break. Its hard work but rewarding x

Thank you v much, hopefully get one again this year and will pop by ... the butterflies of anticipation have started
Did you get a T&C band? We have to meet up this year, pre festival. I came looking for the binnies compound but couldn't find it. Can we make a plan say on Monday? If you're not still painting that is xx

Showdown at Glastonbury is my favourite. Seeing how knife edge things were, and I thought the documentary was fair to both sides
Thanx for this! I'd never heard of it, but managed to watch it on YouTube during the night. It really makes you think about how it must affect the locals, especially back then! A very impartial documentary.

Oh My God It’s The Church were great fun at Avalon last year
God I love them!! They make me so blooming happy 😁. They're playing Thursday at Bearded Theory.

I can safely say I could spend all weekend at Avalon and be a very happy lass. As others have said, It's very Avalon! Which to me is amazing. I'm fearing a Lizzo/Jake Shears clash though!

Mr CG and I have this, without all of the fancy bags on. The sides and front are adjustable. We put some lightweight plywood on the base and used bungess. As long as the heavy stuff is at the front, it's very light to lift and steer. And it all packs down to fit in the car.

You know I’ve never thought of asking to do that in decathlon
I wouldn't have bought it if they wouldn't allow me. All decathalons have a big hall above the shop where they do teambuilding etc.

I have this very tent, it’s superb. It’s a ten minute job for one person, from bag to completely up and everything hunky dory. It’s a beaut 👍
They allowed me to put it up in the shop. I wish it had more internal pockets, and I think the internal door is zipped up wrong, but apart from that, it's perfect!!

Inflatable Camping Tent Air Seconds 4.1 F&B 4 Person 1 Bedroom QUECHUA - Decathlon
Just bought this! I'm very excited! I have loved my 2 man pop up fresh and black for 5 years. Now there's 2 of us, and spending 12 days on the farm, this will be my little bit of luxury 😊

I've always wondered what/if sort of treasures you might find if you're on post fest clean up. Any stories to tell?
I guess you get your pick of tents, shoes,...
Ok drugs, I'm talking about drugs. What drugs do you find. Tell me about the drugs😂
All of the ketamin!! Like, it's everywhere. Oh, and wee toiny spoons. Some remnants of pills were found, but were wet.

On Friday I submitted my application to volunteer, and paid the deposit.
On Saturday I was declined Annual leave. It's not the end of the world as I'm lucky enough to be able to swap shifts, it's just a ball ache finding people to cover them, and if for some reason they have to cancel at short notice due to sickness, suspension etc, I'll be knackered. Plus it means I need to work an extra 80 hours between now and then so I don't have a negative TOIL balance.
-
I was post festival clear up and also didn't know of any bars open. Even Toms bar was closed as they had ran out of everything.
However, after those backbreaking shifts, the last thing I wanted to do was party!! Plenty of tins can be found in the campsites if you run out of beer.
I received and submitted my application to work on Friday evening. I can't see a lot of change in the shifts. They've named them after colours, or After festival. And bunched areas together. Also Veterans don't get veterans shifts any more.

Bit quiet innit...
Not really much to talk about is there? Shame, these forums used to be bouncing with announcements from the old crew.

I remain staunch "Team NFR-NFC" (see signature) but I must admit I fear for 2023. It will be my 10th Glasto and I've been lucky enough to only have 1 muddy year in all of them (2016). My luck's got to run out eventually.....
Same, been every year since 2010. I have more reason to fear the undry weather as I am now lucky enough to be on the clean up crew. And I think that would be blooming awful with that sticky brown stuff on the ground! But, we shall continue to praise the weather gods, give them our daily sacrifices, and have an aura of positivity ☺️... For a repeat of 2010.
And hello to you all! Been a long while since I came on here. How are you? x

I have been told it was actually the old owner who decided it had to go up to 15k this year - otherwise it would have been cancelled. I have no reason not to believe the person who told me.
Our view is the same as yours on BT though - we will see how it goes as it is not just the increase that will change it, but the change in people who go.
So many of the people who were always there will now not be so tickets will go to others who may not have that same attitude perhaps - maybe lots of Truck festival people might buy tickets. Truck people are lovely, but just very very different if you see what I mean.
Now if only some of the old organisers were sorting a new festival that would be announced soon.I definitely noticed a change in the dynamic of people attending this year. Loads more were off their t*ts and incapable of looking after themselves. I have no issue with people taking drugs, I do have an issue when they don't take them responsibly and cause risk to themselves and others.
The rise in capacity also isn't an issue, but they also need to increase the facilities. The toilets in the campervan field were literally overflowing on the first night.
As for this new possible festival... I'm all over it 😉

IF I get after festival clean up again, we have an added shift. We now have to work Tues - Fri 8am-5pm. Lot's of people don't want to do after clean up as it uses their holidays, so adding an extra day won't help. I am due back to work 400 miles North of Glastonbury, on Sunday 7th July. Travelling all day on Saturday and no time to recover is going to be fun. However... The good far outweighs the bad. I love our team. I feel really proud when we stand back and look at a clean field that we have picked. And of course, Toms field 🥰
