    RIP Tina Turner

Making a sarky comment in a thread mourning the death of what most would agree is a legend in music is just in bad taste... even more so by an 'admin' on a forum that celebrates music. I had hoped once you'd sold the site we'd be able to downvote you just so you might realise how often you cause offence with your posts and never seem to be able to read the room. Sadly it seems not. Anyway RIP Tina... a legend with a massive catalogue of music to be remembered by.
  2. He confirmed that they will do that but as it's not in the manifesto he can ditch it at any time?
  3. Out of interest when you didn't vote for Corbyn did you want another Tory government or did you just not want Corbyn as Prime Minister? As a bystander I don't see much difference in your view of Corbyn and how it swayed your vote and mattiloys view on Starmer and how its swaying his vote... just different sides of the coin.
  4. I think what I'm most disappointed about with the announcement is the noticeable lack of bands beginning with 'X'. Was hoping to tick that one off.

    Blur

Just watched the recent Zane Lowe interview with Damon on YouTube and its really good stuff. I never new song writing could be so simple!
  6. I was actually there for that fucking one as well!
  7. This got me thinking if you could get bands with 0-10 in their names who have played Glastonbury. I've only seen a handful of these but can anyone think of a 3, 5 and a 10? I was gonna use Ben Folds Five but he played as a solo artist so doesn't count. 0 - Zero 7 1 - 1975 2 - Two Door Cinema Club 3 - 4 - Four Tet 5 - 6 - Electric 6 7 - Shed Seven 8 - 808 State 9 - Nine Inch Nails 10 -
  8. The battle of the bands the world never needed/wanted.
  9. I know the auctions raised a fuck ton of money for the Trussel Trust but as the raffles on nearly 3 times as much already you've got to think that raffles are the way forward with these type of things.
  10. I'd love to see Levellers back on the farm.
  11. I really don't like The 1975, I wouldn't go and see them if they were playing in my back garden and I genuinely hope they never headline but I think this is a song taking the piss out of the likes of Trump, Kanye & others? I struggle to believe that this is the moment in time he decides to come out to the world as a massive racist... I could be wrong, I often am but this would be career suicide and he would know this even if he was an anti semitic c**t rather than just a bit of a c**t.
  12. Over the last couple of days I've been looking at some of the artists I think would do an amazing legend set and it's amazing how many 'legends' I was unaware were dead... been quite an emotional rollercoaster!
  13. Been a huge Ren fan since first hearing Violets Tale last year so was hoping he'd be doing multiple sets in 2023, possibly a tour, but noticed 2hats mentioned something about his health issues the other day so did a quick Google. Fucking hell, to say he's had it rough is an understatement... does make his lyrics/videos hit a little harder though knowing his history. Link to his gofundme page below which explains his sporadic releasing of material... word of warning this does contain a link to a Daily Fail article. https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-ren-get-medical-treatment-for-lyme-disease
  14. I used to think about this alot when I was at Uni as in my old man's day he got the likes of The Stones, The Who, Wings, etc playing for nowt at his student union where as we got the Teletubbies and Timmy Fucking Mallet!
  15. Nothing to add but that's a fucking amazing reply @gfa!
  16. I'm reet chuffed for him. It'll be interesting to see where they put him... it might be a number of performances on the smaller stages over the course of the weekend thinking about it. Thanks for the update anyway.
  17. If you liked this I'd reccomend this trio of songs... these were released between 2019 and 2022 so not new but he's quite the artist/storyteller/performer and I'm hoping he gets a spot at glastonbury this year... can see him on John Peel maybe.
  18. I like this one but I've got the Kunts main version on repeat in the kitchen ( accidentally had it on repeat for about an hour in my 4 year olds bedroom and only noticed 20 minutes ago when I went for a piss!). Hope she's not singing this at nursery next week... actually, in all honesty I hope she is.
  19. I do get that and I would be equally fucked off with it all if I'd had your experience... I've just been so relieved with the service we've received in the last month I needed to express a positive opinion even if it's not the norm. I think actually one of the only things you and Stevie have in common is the fact you're both good dads and the one thing you could agree on is that not being able to get your child in to see a doctor when necessary is really fucked up... regardless of any political agenda.
  20. Purely anecdotal but my 4 year olds needed to see the GP 3 times in the last 4 weeks and she's been in and out within 3 hours of calling each time... I know that's not necessarily the norm and we're no doubt lucky but it's a bit unfair to solely look at the surgeries which are struggling and discount the ones who aren't. I did have to go to 25 pharmacies on Saturday morning though to find somewhere who had the right prescription so this no drug shortage is a load of bullshit.
  21. It's good to see people have their priorities right.
  22. You bring Corbyn up alot for someone who claims it's only deluded Corbynites who talk about him.
