  1. Im not massively comfortable seeing them live, but Funeral is one of my favourite albums and the gigs around it were brilliant Hopefully wont be in LOndon so i dont have to decide!
  2. on most days. But silent disco in the tent after the acts
  3. I thought theyd be too big to headline! theyve played before and got big crowds. Theres some noisy/punk stuff in their, and Idles fans per se are fairly open to other stuff i think
  4. It sold out around the same time as always didnt it? This year will sell out fairly quickly i reckon
  5. CMAT, Richard Dawson and Gruff seem to be most likely for secret piano sets IMO
  6. So Garden Stage headliners Lankum and Yo La tengo? Either Sleater kinney or Baxter Dury for the other garden stage headline. Jockstrap for Big top headliner?
  7. https://www.thelineofbestfit.com/news/end-of-the-road-2024-line-up-fever-ray-idles-slowdive-bonnie-prince-billy
  8. Fever Ray, IDLES, Slowdive and Bonnie "Prince" Billy to headline End of the Road Festival
  9. Decemberists US tour is between 30th April to the 3rd august 2024. So looks liek will still be in Europe EOTR time....
  10. Im a big fan of Idles, so would be happy with them playing, but i think its unlikely this year. A solo DJ/Podcast thing on a smaller scale wouldnt be out of the question though, Joe Talbot is doing stuff like that.
  11. Last years headliners were leaked the day before
  12. I dont see it as being Idles, they seem to be doing more the medium sized festivals this year.
  13. Oh i forgot about the loo's from last year...
  14. They could do a Angel Oslen/Magentic Fields i guess!
  15. All i would say is that they are much more powerful live, and i think will be a great show to end one of the nights with
  16. They are headling the second stage at latitude, and are probably the same size as Unknown mortal orchestra/wilco in ticket selling terms, so I'd say lankum would deffo be hig enough as a smaller headliner. I personally think they could be a garden stage headliner playing false lankum though
  17. The capacity of EOTR is small enough for Spotify views to not be that imortant really. A lot of it is what Simon likes to listen to as well
  18. Baxter wouldnt headline, and if Adrianne is playing, would be in Big Thief surely
  19. Yeah, lets wait until Weds before moaning lol Last years was loads of fun and i saw lots of great music. Theyve earnt a certain amount of trust with their selections
  20. Fontaines DC at Reading/Leeds put them in contention
  21. Obviously everyone has their own line in the sand for these things. I blame festival organisers more for having people like that at their festivals. I do think going to those sets is a factor in letting people like him ( or Ryan Adams, Kanye, e.t.c) get away with stuff like that, but thats ultimately the responsibility of the conscience of the person going to that set in question. If there arent consequences for behaviour like that, theyll keep doing it. Fingers crossed he gets a small crowd.
  22. It kinda does bleed into the performance though as he seems to enjoy doing certain salutes during gigs... If he starts of with a nazi salute, would you walk away or stick around for the songs? I imagine he'll end up getting dropped anyway if the press notices and theres pressure on the festival organisors
