  1. It's a bad state of affairs that I'm deciding on whether or not to go on a "get slightly fitter and more agile" regime depending on if I get Glasto tickets in 2 weeks. I play football and badminton once a week but my weekly binge drink (obscene levels for 1-2 days), obsessions for Indian food and crisps, and the fact that my joints are ceasing up (30 years solid of football with zero warm down), mean I seriously need to sort myself out if I'm embarking on Glasto No.8 next year.

Bloody Ed Sheeran. If only Jack Johnson looked like a ginger underdog.
  3. Ah bollox. Only the 2nd GF I've missed since 2011. Tried to avoid here and the final poster (almost impossible). Bad enough that Elton is my favourite artist of all time. Don't think I'll ever get over it. But yeh, Young Fathers my new faves!
  4. Really?? First thing I said to my mate who I sent it to was I hope they can replicate that complex sound live. I will 100% be keeping an eye out for them. Any thoughts on a GF appearance?
  5. Not sure when in 2023 it was released but I listened to the Young Fathers album lastnight. Bloody hell it's a bit good! Only really listened to a handful of their tracks in the past. Massively into this latest record.
  6. Nehhhhh not having it. Life in the old dogs yet based on that glorious hour in 2022!
  7. I'm not a massive Elbow fan but their last appearance at GF was an incredible set.
  8. Loving that Creeper album so far. Never heard of them. Thank you eFest people. Meatloaf and Billy Squier vibes I'm getting so far. Gonna treat it to the proper headphones Friday eve with a few beverages.

Yup. Still widely available chat on some glorious Facebook pages, unfortunately.

To the extent they've been mentioned on here and in what context, it's hardly been "ladsladslads phwoooaaar Madonna's tits bro", has it. That wouldn't be a good look.

I'm all for Madonna and would more than likely be at Pymild. But I'm not gonna pretend it would be as exciting knowing she's miming for a large majority with pre-recording music. Most other major artists put the effort in and deliver an excellent live show. One of the best things about some of the mega stars performances down the years is their backing band too, who are usually the cream of the crop. See Bowie 2000 for reference. That, alongside their live performance is what sets them apart. It would take a massive shine off it if there's pre-recorded drums, guitar, etc with her just prancing about. Poor show really, for someone who's the biggest female pop star ever. (Lady Gaga pisses on her anyway 👀)
  12. What's the atmosphere like and the etiquete in the CV fields regarding chilling outside your campervan with camping chairs etc., I've no idea what to expect (if successful of course!). I absolutely love the camping aspect of Glasto and chatting to neighbours across the week, is it similar or are there any unwritten rules I should know about, perhaps late at night?
  13. Exactly. Why would you keep walking back and forth more than once between the CV and all over the festival just to cook.

Was a stellar BB to be fair...
  15. Don't get me wrong I'd be allllll over a Lauper set at Glasto...
  16. Ahead of Paul Simon for bangers? I think that's a stretch when you're talking about his solo work and Simon & Garfunkle work. Not even comparable in my view. Aware Paul Simon's set wasn't an all time classic cos of illness. But across his career and the size of the gigs he's played at, Graceland album and S&G success...

It's right though isn't it? And yet again they'd put on an amazing show.

Nice to see the Coldplay appreciation for once on here. Regardless of what some may think of them, they're one of the biggest bands on earth who can put on an incredible 2 hour show with ease, with a back catalogue of belters. They've done some really sh*t stuff album wise beyond their 3rd/4th albums, but there's no denying how good they are live. They were the first Glasto headliner I ever saw (2011) and not seen them since. I'd be all over it next year.

Massive pet hate of mine. Gary Neville does it all the time. You know you’ve got yer Arsenal's, yer Manchester Yannited's, yer Liverpool's, yer Chelsea's. And don't get me started on how everyone is OK with the sentence "Manchester City IS a big club"
  20. You're a gentleman thank you. All my kit would be in the campervan anyway, the only things I'd be taking up and down the Slope of Sadness is a backpack for general day usage 🙂 Why would anyone need to go from CV East, to PGC with a trolley of anything once they've parked their campervan?Am I being very thick?
  21. I laughed more than I should at this and I don't know why.
  22. It does indeed help, thank you for all of that mate. I've heard of this hill of death... do you have to navigate this regardless of having quiet or standard ticket, so regardless of where you are? Last question I promise (maybz).
