  1. New Moor Mother is brilliant. Powerful, chilling stuff. Spoken word jazz music with themes of Europe's colonial & racist history. Real emphasis on British history too. Definitely worth a listen.

I still think the map will be into May. Probably after the Arcadia and Block 9 announcements. And if Williams Green is returning in some capacity, they'll probably want a big reveal of that too.

Yeah I had that as Carhenge

Also the map has come early May the last 2 years, but most years before that it's been mid-April, so I guessed they'd want to get back to the usual announcement time for it.

Not as many missing from the main stages as usual because of the high number of acts on the first poster. Someone did do the numbers but it's about 6 on each.

    Current stae of play:

    Acoustic

    Avalon

    Shangri-La

    The Glade

    West Holts

    Silver Hayes

    Croissant Neuf

    Leftfield

    Theatre & Circus

    Carhenge

    The Common

    New Map

    Woodsies

    Arcadia

    Unfairground

    Glasto Latino

    The Park

    Kidzfield

    Pilton Palais

    Strummerville

    Block 9

Plus a few little ones that don't get announced on the official festival website.

Gonna do a bold prediction for the order:

    Acoustic

    Avalon

    Shangri-La

    The Glade

    New Map (this week)

    ️Theatre & Circus (this week)

    Kidzfield (next week)

    Silver Hayes (next week)

    West Holts (next week)

    The Common (next week)

    Leftfield (in 2 weeks)

    Glasto Latino (in 2 weeks)

    Croissant Neuf (in 2 weeks)

    Woodsies (in 3 weeks)

    Arcadia (in 3 weeks)

    Block 9 (in 3 weeks)

    Pilton Palais (in 4 weeks)

    Unfairground (in 4 weeks)

    The Park (in 4 weeks)

    Strummerville (no announcement)

    Carhenge (in 5 weeks)

Full lineup & timings in 5 weeks

Separate Poetry & Words announcement in 2 weeks, and Deluxe Diner & Rocket Lounge in 3 weeks

Will definitely all be completely wrong, but by the looks of it it means we'll be getting an average of 3 announcements per week - get in!

  4. Metalheads + fans of heavy guitar music - if you haven't already, you need to listen to the new Judas Priest. Just heard it and it's mega, can't believe these guys are making music that's still this good in their 70's. The festival missed a trick not booking them for the Pyramid stage rock slot.

  5. New Kim Gordon album is good. The blend of noise rock with trap-style beats and her vocal delivery works really well. It's pretty cool how she continues to always come out with unique sounding music.

  6. Been enjoying the new Faye Webster album the past week, it's soft and sleepy music, but very nicely written and produced. It's a shame she hasn't been booked for the festival this year, really thought she'd do it.

    Skindred are headlining Friday night

Yeah I was about to say, they're playing in Japan on Sunday, so most likely playing Friday. Where did you hear they're headlining?

  8. Nothing on there for me.

Don't think anyone'd shut the place down like Sugababes and McFly did, Though I reckon Caity Baser, Skindred, Billie Marten and Kate Nash will get decent crowds.

Yes it was mentioned on radio a while back about him being 3rd down. Cyndi Lauper isn't going to be 3rd down. I wouldn't take much notice with the Pyramid after the 3rds being Kiwanuka, Janelle and PJ Harvey. She last headlined Acoustic so she isn't going too high. In reality, all of those below them are a bit unknown. I actually think PJ Harvey is essentially a double sub as well given her size.

To be honest, I have no idea what to expect, to me Michael Kiwanuka feels more right 3rd down and Cyndi Lauper 4th down. Weirder things have happened though. I'm just going off the poster placements and that's all, just cause that's all we have to go from at the moment.

  10. New Everything Everything is good, a bit of a return to form. Can hear some Radiohead influences in the weird but poignant lyrics. I like the concept of the album - best one I've heard since Get to Heaven.

Forgotten what the score is now - is it usually one announcement a week?

Yeah will probably be just one next week because of the resale, but after that there are enough areas to make about 2-3 announcements a week on average until the full lineup end of May/early June.

Houdini is the pick of three - the others are both pretty mid. Not bad exactly, but not what the doctor ordered when Friday 28th June comes to mind.

If anyone sees this dweeb wandering G24 it's on sight.

Agreed, Houdini is still best, but none of these tracks beat any of the Future Nostalgia singles.

When was the WH line up leaked?

About a month and a half ago now, one of the stage organisers had a spotify playlist with all the artists on that someone found. Turned out to be right when the lineup came out last month too.

Basically was all the acts on the poster plus Alogte Oho & his sounds of Joy, Matthew Halsall, Balming Tiger, Dub Terror, Cymande and Jalen Ngonda
