Faithless, The Breeders, This is the Kit, London Grammar, Fontaines, half of Woodsies - especially ALVVAYS, Squid, Jordan Rakei, Black Pumas, Jungle, Justice, Last Dinner Party, Bloc Party, Confidence Man, IDLES, the National, Michael Kiwanuka, PJ Harvey, Little Simz, LCD Soundsystem, Coldplay.

That's pretty bloody awesome and I have been selective here.

If anyone hands their ticket back, on the basis of the lineup alone - amazing. I will drink your salty tears instead of a Berocca and pray that the likes of @nikkic get your ticket.

    Maybe Glastonbury isn't for you?

Most of what you said are on my list. Ive also seen the majority. I'm not going this year due to a family commitment first one I've missed since 2014.

Lineup is weak for me personally and for £350 it starts pricing me out. Before travel, food etc

May have missed this in my scatterbrained mode, but TGA's tour started last night, and the setlist was pretty excellent, if I do say so.

A smattering of goodies from History Books - Michigan, 1975 is among the best ballads they've ever put out - and otherwise exactly what you'd want, for the most part.

    Roll on the UK run!

Add Here Comes My Man and Here's Looking at you kid and it'd be perfect.

They're only doing the one date with TGA at the Roundhouse in March and are also playing Slam Dunk. Not sure they've got much else planned and look free Trees weekend. If they get the slot right, they'd go down a treat.

    Late on The Forrest.

    Ooft.. indeed!

Remember seeing him in a "well-publicised secret set" in Strummerville in Glasto a few years back, and people were scaling fences at the exit when they wouldn't let anymore in.

Yup. That was hell. I was down near the sofas and people wanted out.

I thought Neck Deep were nailed on but surely they can't be the third headliner whilst struggling to sell Ally Pally and playing twice at Reading the next month? Especially with The Chats already down as headliner.

Completely agree. If Neck Deep end up being the third headliner, announced in say 2 months. When Reading is already on sale, then it'd be a seriously bad choice.

  6. Already finding some gems that I haven't been aware of, or rediscovering. My Thursday is pretty busy and all of these are on Friday, so my days are getting stacked.

And some people thought Muse were too soft for Download.

Though tbf I'm not sure if they'd draw enough people away from Queens of the Stone Age. I could be wrong and knowing me, probably am.

    Tent will be full.

  8. Headliners aren't amazing, but thats an old conversation now. The undercard is varied as Download has ever been. I'd buy a day ticket for Saturday in a heartbeat if Electric Callboy were on that day. I'm 50/50

Think Bullet were on tour until March and they were presumably waiting on Soft Play before they announced them. The Soft Play included a handful of other bands and Frank Carter was included in the first wave of acts. Think that most fests announce stuff at the end of Jan cos it's the first real post xmas payday etc

Yeah a lot of fests are announcing their 2nd wave this week. Trees, Download and Reading (rumoured).

Sorta? They normally announce who is ready tbh. Have announced headliners with a bulk of acts plenty of times. Not sure what is holding back these headliners at the moment. They do say when they're including the headliners so pretty sure we're not getting any tomorrow.

I more meant, they normally spread them out. Last year didn't announce bullet till March and Soft Play till April.

They've said the announcement is for 50+ bands. I don't think we'll see a headliner though.

Oooh didn't know it was another 50. Awesome.

Yeah Trees normally announce headliners separately to their bigger announcements.

  12. Trees 2023 had an announcement for it in January. 50 bands. My guess is we'll get 30 - 40 ish bands. Including 2nd/3rd from top on main stage on both Friday/Saturday. As well as Cave headliners/Sub headliners on Friday/Saturday. A lot of Main Stage/Axiom earlier in the day bands. Then a few acts for the forest.

Announcement predictions? I've had a look at other festival announcements and I'm thinking:

Sleep Token, The Menzingers, Viagra Boys, Thursday, Zeal & Ardor, Nova Twins, Loathe, Hot Milk, HEALTH, Spanish Love Songs, Bleed From Within, Drug Church, Skynd, Guilt Trip, Soccer Mommy, Gel, Movements, Static Dress, Bad Nerves, Calva Louise, Mannequin Pussy, Sweet Pill, Bodyweb, Blood Command, Swim School, Mother Vulture, ZAND, Knife Bride, Bambie Thug

I'd take these in a heart beat. Add in Shikari as 3rd headliner.

Now the dust has settled, I’m only really keen for the Friday at Reading, but waiting to see who else gets added & find out about stages first.

For £115 it’s gotta be a good undercard or none of my mates will be bothered unfortunately.

Did someone say the day ticket price will increase to £125? When is the cutoff for this happening?

I jumped on the day ticket for £115. I don't live too far and am staying over at a friends who lives 15 minutes from the site. Blink/Prodigy/Spiritbox was more than enough for that price personally.
