    WWE

Didn't watch it live, but reading peop2les reaction it sounds like an all time dud. I only keep up to date with WWE these days via recaps and what not, but even I called Lesnar losing the title then winning the Rumble. Gather the match itself was hopelessly booked and executed. Feel for Big E being thrown out like a jobber. Shane McMahon in the final 3? Seems like the two highlights were the celebrity appearances and Ivory rocking the RTC gimmick. The company is creatively (and morally) bankrupt. Haven't watched properly in a good few years but now I don't see myself ever watching a WWE show back to front again.
  2. LCD Soundsystem. I get Bilbao BBK have announced them as having their 'only European festival appearance' but I always feel these things can end up being quite tenuous. Especially where Glastonbury is concerned.
  3. Yup but well over 50% of the main stage acts are on the first poster I'd say, and virtually all of the big names. Though we then get spoilt with the individual areas releasing their lineups in the intervening period which always gives something new to mull over once or twice a week.
  4. Yup definitely. I'm by no means a music fan to the extent most people on here are, so I like having the line up as early as possible to find out new acts I'll enjoy. New acts for me mainly means acts who everyone here is already well established with. That being said I'd happily rock up at the festival on the Wednesday without a clue and find out from the programme. Always going to be 3/4 acts each day I'll be mega hyped to see, don't necessarily need much more than that.
  5. Stuff like that is a byproduct of producing and releasing music though. And those headline slots are only going to come about with releasing good new material, rushing new material will only be a detriment to an act's standing in the industry and commercial successfulness.
  6. Thing is, your focus here is on an act achieving or maintaining festival headline status. Which is probably very far down the list of priorities. Nobody is going to rush or compromise an album or tour just so they can headline a festival.
  7. Biff, Foals and The 1975 all making a case for the infamous 'Pyramid sized Other headliners' slot. If we didn't have the inclination that Pet Shop Boys were headlining Other on the Sunday again then I'd have thought Biffy or Foals would be a decent shout to play opposite Kendrick.
  8. IIIIIIIIIN NINE! Hoping to find themselves in the money, Pablo Honey
  9. I know we're all nuts for the festival, but for an artist to take such a drop in pay to headline Glastonbury must mean they (or their management) get it's cultural significance to a certain extent. So it's feasible that someone like Kendrick could perform it as a one off and hold it in higher regard than other festival shows.
  10. Red Hot Chilli Peppers confirmed
  11. Assume to park a van at Glastonbury you need to show a ticket to the festival as well as a permit to park?
  12. Max Caster for West Holts and Honky Tonk Man for Avalon. Shame the Kiss Demon is at Download.

    Adele

Also it surely becomes irrelevant once all the tickets were sold? Could literally have just been Adele and her band on stage with the house lights and people wouldn't give a shit. They're not expecting Pink levels of theatrics.
  14. Should have been booked for 2020 as a Pyramid-sized Other headliner
  15. Glastonbury doesn't necessarily work like that though
  16. Must be some spewing at not getting Hazza Styles as a replacement
  17. I go to Paul McCartney concerts in the hope that the original Paul McCartney turns up
  18. Only just seen this - excellent work, donated.
  19. They seem to have managed well so far the last few years?

    Adele

To be honest, what a shit thing to do. Feel awful for all those ticket holders who have spent $$$$ on booking to go to Vegas to see her and can't get a refund for anything other than their ticket.
  21. He might be in there eating all your Worthy Farm cheese @crazyfool1
  22. Little Mix headlining West Holts would be a Glastonbury moment for sure
  23. It's even more baffling given how Beady Eye went. Shows the pull of a social media presence and society's ever increasing want to recall and revisit the past. So much these days is purely nostalgia driven, whether it's rebooting/remaking films and TV series or bands touring the 23rd anniversary of an album that gets played nigh on in full in a regular setlist anyway. It's not like Liam has reinvented himself, the music is nothing special, it's just people wanting more of the familiar.
