We had some 19 year old new starters at work... between them they only knew 2 Britney Spears tunes (womanizer & give me more) they called that "old" too. None had heard of top of the pops. I then went home to my pipe, slippers & a cup of Horlicks. Never felt as old in my life. Each demographic is different within an age range. These lot know a lot about Carl Cox, Bicep & Defected acts.

Yeah. I think most couldn't name a tune other than "bad guy". I could only nane 2 others. We all think it's a great booking for the fest though. I'd like Bad Guy if she just said "duh" & the tune kicked in. Her voice seriously grates on my to be honest & Ive tried, but, I just find her really boring.

The reaction to the Super Bowl performance from most people I talked to was "It was good, but I didn't know who 1 of them was" (Kendrick) They are all 30+, not that into hip hop, but the other tunes were massive when they were 16-20 ish. 2 in my group for Glastonbury have asked who he is when I mentioned him yesterday. He's obviously massive, but I think to people over 30 he doesnt seem to be unless you are well into hip hop. I presume that changes with the younger crowd. I'll be at Kendrick though, it could go off.

Don't waste your time at Glastonbury watching a headliner you don't like.

Yeah, it's a very good mix. As a whole group we'll be at McCartney. Which is good. Normally we split between us all. I'll be on my own at Kendrick, unless something I "must" see is on somewhere else, but I'm 99% there. Friday - I have no interest in Billie Eilsh. Great booking, but not for me clive. No interest in Foals either, so hoping someone like Bicep are on live. Maybe Primal Scream. Friday is my favourite night of the festival normally.

I was at Janelle Monae. I didnt know that much about her before she was announced and liked the videos I'd seen whilst looking her up. She was amazing tbh. Loved her. It's a shame the field wasn't packed, but those there had an absolute treat.

I was born in 1984... I can confirm I WILL be at the festival.

As a "communal experience", i.e Live with fans singing along with it - "Wake Up" by Arcade Fire is right up there for me. Infinitely better than a recording.

Seen Noel a lot as HFB. I think the HFB stuff is good. "Who Built the Moon?" is the best Gallagher album since the 90s in my opinion. Problem is, the setlists are all the same really. The same Oasis tunes at least. I never want to hear "the importance if being idle" in my life.

My most contovertial opinions.... 1. I absolutely hate "In my life" by the Beatles. Fake senrimentality never sits well with me. I'd rather rip my ears off than listen to that again. 2. "Who do you think you are?" by the Spice Girls is an absolute cast iron Banger. 3. Joni Mitchell - Shite. Glad she's off spotify. 4. The Style Council > The Jam 5. "From a distance" - The Worst Song of all time.
