  1. Dont think her stock has risen since 2016, when she was brilliant in the acoustic vs Coldplay. Cant see her getting that gig
  2. Agreed. No one wants Barry Garlow & the Tax avoiders there
  3. Haai at San Remo on Friday was my favourite. FBS at levels was fun though, I wont lie.
  4. I'd love Annie Lennox to do it, if I get a ticket.
  5. Who cpuld really be in the frame? Duran Duran, Spice Girls, Robbie Williams? None are my preference, just struggling to see who fits

    Rick Astley

Went to the Pyramid to listen to 2 tunes... and he opened with 1. He has been a meme for a while & he deserved a chance to showcase his skills. I left the Pyramid really pleased I'd seen him & pleased for him. He seems a genuinely good bloke who clearly loved it. I'm not gunna ever pay to watch him, but I'm pleased that I was part of the 80,000 or so who saw him.
  7. With Whizzkid getting small crowd, I can only assume that Kelis, The Park & the SE were packed. The Silver Hayes was quiet on Friday. I walked through towards the Pyramid on Sat after leftfield (so headliner time) & it was much busier. I expected Camelphat to be rammed, it wasnt at all. There was a load of room (once you got past the people who just stood at the entrance & made it look full)
  8. Where was everyone then? I assumed they got a monster crowd. I was in the Silver Hayes which was quiet. I thought Camelphat would be mega busy & it wasnt full at all. I'd come from Young Fathers which wasnt full. I know losds were at fred, but where did they go?!
  9. Quite like that tune. Found her 1st album to be underwhelming barring a couple of the tunes. Too much of the whispering rather than belting it out... but live on the other stage it looked a much more lively affair. Wish I'd gone. If this album explodes she'd be 1 for the Pyramid. Headline though? Is she bigger than Lizzo? I am genuinely unsure, that's not a shot. (I suppose the answer is, how does album 2 do)
  10. I saw quite a bit, but didnt go to The Avalon, Greenepeace, The Common or to Block 9 at any point. It always seems odd that whole areas are missed. It has been the Silver Hayes & Shangri la in recent festivals, but I was there quite a bit this year. Ive never even got into the Temple in all my visits to the Farm.
  11. I didnt mind him there... but do a Macca tune!
  12. Whilst I like the variety & I think "rock dad / radio 2 mum acts" definitely have their place - a "bump up" headliner would be a good thing.
  13. The guy that did his own tune pissed me off, I wont lie. The other guests, were good. Even if I didnt know who 2 of them were. Some random doing his own tune. Not for me clive.
  14. Yeah, but I suspect that a whole bunch would have seen them recently if they did it. I.e. 3 shows at Etihad, 3 at Wembley then the Festival. Elton had "last ever UK gig" as a draw, even if you'd seen him recently.
  15. Must have. It was more powerful than I expected. Any critique seems like Im pulling it apart & I don't want to do that. I had a very enjoyable evening.
  16. It was miles better than Dill Danding. For his age it was ok, but that's it - for his age. Thing is, I dont want to critisise too much cos I had a great time. It's just part of what stopped it being my set of the weekend. It was very enjoyable though & Im glad I was there.
  17. I'd seen both Leftfield & GnR before. I was already at the Park after watching the Pretenders, so grabbing some food, a pint & staying for Leftfield was moy choice on the night. I kind of used Leftfield as my headliner & GnR as an added extra.
  18. His voice wasnt great, I had no idea who his special guests were (barring Mr Killers), the Dua Lipa video was meh & some random bloke did his own tune in the middle of it. But.. I had a great time & I am very glad I went to see him. It just isnt a set I'll look back on as "WOW" in a few years time.
  19. You could. That's what I did. I arrived in the field as "Civil War" was ending & got into the pit for "You could be mine".
  20. My goddaughter met a CBBC presenter in the Kidzfield & had a photo. Which made her festival.
  21. My mates took their daughter. Camped near behind the woodsies in Family camping there. They did it last year. They spent a bunch of time doing things like Circus field, kidzfield, going up the ribbon tower. Stuff like that, but they loved it.
  22. If you enjoyed it at the time your decision was a good one. You gained something else. I missed Adele & went to the SE Corner. That later on bugged me, but I had a great night on the night. So I wouldnt have had that if I went to Adele, it would habe just been a different good night. It's only a wrong decision of you had a bad time wherever you went
  23. DJ Yoda was brilliant. It was the history of hop hop in chronological order, but with some added extras. When samples were re used, he put them all in (I.E. The message / Check your self / Players). He lobbed in Tina Turner - Whats love got to do with it which went down well. Inspector Gadget, but the Highlight was the Imperial Death March mixed to Usher...Yeah. Atmosphere was banging too.
  24. Watched it on iplayer. Looked really good. Still, no regrets for me as the WH was where I was, but fair play to Fred, it looked really good on iplayer. My mates went to Fred & all really enjoyed it.
