  1. Re: No Arena Tour. Ive just looked and Billie Eilish hadnt done a UK arena tour before she was announced (she did an area tour with Glastonbury a part of it). Personally I think O Rodrigo is on the Billie Eillish path & she'll be headlining next year. (I could be well wrong)
  2. Didnt know it happened til I got back. I was either in a bar at the glade (there was a random cheer & Clapping - so I think it was then) Or I was at the Glade stage. One of. 2019 - I was sat at my tent

    2024 Headliners

I got Olivia Rodrigo at 8/1.. she's down to 6 now.
  4. I thought the 'it'll be 2 females next year' was as that was just how it was shaping up. I.e. 1 was already booked, 1 was in the pipeline.
  5. Billie Eilish did it on 2 albums didn't she? Im not 100% on that, Im not a fan - but pretty sure she did.
  6. O Rodrigo - A New act. Dua Lipa - I'd argue a pure pop act of this ilk is something fresh for a pyramid headliner.
  7. Personally I think the Festival should be giving someone a go on just 1 or (2 by the time the album comes out) albums. The argument against is that you are just a flash in the pan, or that history wont see them as a headliner sized.. on the flip side, it could look very very favourably. I.e. Catapault into superstardom. She's massive globally. Clearly talented. Im not sure that I'd watch her headline, but get her booked. Dua Lipa, ACDC, Olivia Rodrigo I doubt ACDC happens, but that would be the dream set of headliners. Something new, something fresh & something classic.

Green Day for who I grew up with were massive. Even with people not into that kind of music. Basket case & Especially, Good Riddance Time of Your Life were absolute anthems. Ive seen Green Day 7 times. None since 2007. I cant say I revisit them often. Would I be there for a Pyramid slot? 1000%.
  10. Normally I'd agree... maybe Croc Rock should have been the last of the 3? It is only a very very minor quibble
  11. Brilliant. I thought he missed a trick. At the end of the song, the crowd were all still doing it. He should have let it go on... very minor quibble. But he doesnt normally get a crowd like that
  12. I think that was a Thursday thing tbh. Without the major stages open, there are too many people on site for whats on. But I was in the Shangri La & didnt find it too bad (I did leave at about 10 mind you)

    Crowdsurfing?

Some random bloke who was about 5ft 5 asked if Id put him on my shoulders during Elton John (Im 6ft 4), I declined... then about 5 mins later he was attempting to crowd surf. Ended badly
  14. The Highlight for me. Reg's face when the "la la las" are sung back to him. That was my favourite on the night & it works on TV too.
  15. Yeah. In 2018, My mate had something stashed in his tent. The dog stopped next to his trolley & he had to hand it over. It wasnt the police who did the searches or who had the dog, but he was told that they will be om the way unless he co-operated. He handed it over, the dog ran over the now sprawled out trolley & he was allowed in as everything he had was given up. My mate went back in 2019, with no problems. Still dogs there but this time there wasnt an issue.
  16. Watching Henge in the SE corner was fun at 2 ish on Monday morning. Back to the tent at half 3. The 6am wake up for the car ride back.. not good.
  17. Tbh, I'd quite like to do that anyway. If my mates dont do - I might look at volunteering
  18. 2022 was my last, but was convinced to try for 2023. 2023 was my favourite festival since 2016 (my favourite ever festival). So I am back on the hype train... but I am expecting my luck to run out for tickets soon. I've done 10. My mates are talking as if they want to do something else too. In a way, if they all decide to do something else, I'd be fine with that. I'd rather not try & have made the decision myself, than to have it made for me by missing out on a ticket. You've had a good run! Hope you enjoy next year as much as you would Gladtonbury.
  19. 100%. Sorry Seems to be the hardest word might have gone down well. Especially for the ones desparate to see Lee Ryan pop up on the line up.
  20. Actually, yeah you are right. "All the Girls love Alice" is a favourite of mine, prob not 1 for those waiting to see Britney Spears or Eminem though.
  21. Not done the Dua Lipa video, that was weird. Not brought out TikTok Tommy Teacakes out. Done "I want Love" & "Nikita" to replace them. Otherwise, setlist was spot on.
  22. It was, cos I was watching the Pretenders at the Park
  23. No need for that!! Make me feel old. As for the Gorillaz. I preface this with the fact I was absolutely off my head, I had to be "looked after" by my mates a few hours earlh and it's 13 years ago, so my memory might not be 100%.. but it was all a bit weird. We were pretty close to the pit - coming from the Silver Hayes (Dance Village as it was). The set was just flat. From the start. Nowt really happened. Couldnt really work out who was on stage cos there were videos of Snoop... but he wasnt there (or was he?), and cartoons behind at times. The tunes were completely lifeless. Overall it was a mess. Sacked it off after an hour for Fatboy Slim.
