  1. Sza... I bet that went down well with some. Hopefully you all have a good un. I might pop back when the poster drops
  2. Morning everyone. Hope everyone is well. As I failed on T-Day I have not been on this forum tbh. I've got myself a ticket for Beat Herder instead. Happy with my decision. I cant afford both. I did however stick a few quid on a Glastonbury Headliner bet in November ish. Olivia Rodrigo. Without me trawling through about 500 pages... how likely is that looking? Hope you all have a hot one this year - as Im not there, no doubt it'll be my kind of weather.
  3. Im in the minority of people who is a bit sad he accepted it tbh.
  4. It's a possibility, but Im unsure tbh. As it stands today, I dont think I will be trying. It might change. I'll let the dust settle & see how my mates feel after Christmas.
  5. Just to warn you all... I havent got a ticket. So it's bound to be my kind of weather next year.
  6. No luck for me this year. I got through for someone on Thursday in the coach sale. Today, none of us got anywhere so Karma wasn't kind. A weird feeling, but Im not as gutted as I would have been years ago. Im going to unfollow the festival on all socials now. Hope everyone has a blinder
  7. I didnt want a Coach ticket..but got through instantly & got 2 for a few friends of friends. The easiest Ive ever got through. See how it goes on Sunday
  8. 1. Stevie Wonder 2010 2. QOTSA 2011 3. Arcade Fire 2014 4. Underworld 2016 5. Young Fathers 2023 6. Pulp 2011 7. Janelle Monae 2019 8. Miley Cyrus 2019 9. Ray Davies 2010 10. Elton John 2023
  9. If there is a headliner announcement before the deadline, this decision was definitely cos they were worried. There has been more publicity, Emily on radio etc than usual.
  10. My mate has booked Sunday off. He is fuming
  11. I prefferred Shaggy to if I'd watched Sheeran. I watched Elton cos I have a ticket for QOTSA in a fortnight. I dont think anyone at either made a bad choice
  12. Liam put on twitter last week that he wasnt.
  13. Decided not to bother trying for Manchester (even though I live there) as I knew Liam tickets would be a no go. Only wanted standing. Got 4 for Sheffield virtually instantly. Price is a scandal mind you.
  14. Of our usual group of 8.. 5 have said no 2 due to child care, 1 has said "getting old & the cost", 1 said that the "weather ruined it for him this year. Last few were too hot". He's not going. So there are 3 of us. Im now thinking it might be time to leave it too now... still on for it at the minute.
  15. The last dinner party supported by Picture Parlour at the Manc Academy last night. TLDP were good. A nice variety of tunes. The lead singer is ace. A real stage presence. The last 2 tunes (Godzilla & Nothing Matters) were by far the stand out. There were a few less bouncy numbers which didnt hit the spot for me. Support act, Picture Parlour. I preferred them tbh. Had not heard of them beforehand. AM era Arctic Monkeys vibes at times. Will see them if they are knocking about around here soon.
  16. The video was retweeted by gigsandtours, so I'll be surprised if there isn't a tour
  17. I am still going to try in Nov, but tbh - the price is now getting a bit much.
  18. Ive had £20 at 10/1 So no chance she does it now
  19. San Salvador. I watched them at Boomtown in 2019 and was amazed. They'd be great early doors
  20. My Favourite is the Pyramid. Nothing beats seeing a headliner on there. Otherwise, I'd say The Park. Love the area.
  21. Annie Lennox appearing with Alicia Keys... Annie is the one

Young Fathers are headlining Fri Night at Boomtown... if you are going & haven't seen them. Watch them!!
  25. Im 39 & went twice lasr year. The crowd was a bit more diverse than I expected. Plus the new younger crowd I think dont care as much. The 18-23 ish crowd are much better than the crowd of the same age pre around 2016 ish. They are much more into raving than just being seen. IMO.
