I’m attending my first Glastonbury as a volunteer this year. I’m really excited about this new experience!!
I have a few of questions I hope you guys can help with;
1) I am arriving into castle Cary train station on the Tuesday, will there be shuttle busses be running or am I best to jump in a taxi?
2) Which gate do I need to head for to access the grounds?
3) will I get a festival program/tote bag?
4) can I still take alcohol onto the site?

I wore my doc martens Wednesday to Saturday, had no problems at all, even in thickest and deepest of mud areas! I did swap into my walking boots on the Sunday and found the mud stuck to them more! I never wear wellies as other say... Pain in the arse! Doc martens all the way for me!

eg I am happy with either, and will try for either. But obviously if I get coach tickets (and become one of the "successful") I'd put my name forward to help out on the Sunday.
I just assumed desperation would mean everyone will go for both, but are there other unsuccessful ones who only want general sale? If so then hopefully they could be recruited to help with coach sales, and then we can help with general sale if successful.
I can only try for GA due to daughters travel and flight plans, but happy to try for those that want the coach!! So I agree, maybe we can add to comments in the spreadsheet if we can volunteer to help?

Hey everyone... I decided to stay away from the forum this year, as I wouldn't be going, didn't even attempt to get any on sale day!! However my daughter can now go and said we should try for tickets in April. I will only need 2 but happy to pair up. I've skim read this thread and notice talk of a spreadsheet?? Let me know how I can help out too!! I will want GA but willing to go online for coach for those that want them. I know it's a while off, and never done the resale, always been fortunate to get GA the last 3 times I've been.

My doc martens worked a dream. I did wear my walking boots on the last day and boy the mud stuck on them!

We came out of orange 39. Pretty bad further in, car stuck all over the place. Although I wasn't stuck I had to be towed due to car in front being stuck and not having a tow eye to hand. Make sure you all have yours out. Guy in tractor that helped was great, he said is would be stopping on and working through. I do dread to think how bad it is now and the next few hours!

Taking voluntary redundancy and get a nice pay off. Already have another job lined up but that doesn't start till August 15th so I have two monrths off. Get in.
Plenty of time to recover then!
I finish on the tuesday and back in following wednesday. Got 9 days left at work, and plenty to do... No motivation... Argh!!

mine only changed to being sent signed delivery yesterday at around 4pm!! I was getting stressed, hopefully should be here in the next day or 2. Never had to wait this long before.
