  1. Isley Brothers' 60th Anniversary tour in Leeds on 26th, then Bournemouth 29th (Monday) June next year - perfect for third down West Holts Saturday or Sunday?
  2. Could it be like this: April - Nick says they're not booking Macca for the 50th because his behavour for the 49th was a bit flakey, pulling out after saying, on some level, he'd play. They'd need something massive for the 50th so someone who might pull out could leave them high & dry (no, not them!), so they didn't want to take a chance on him for the 50th, then him pulling out, leaving them with less-than-stella (no, not her) headliners. So his statement back then that Macca's not in the frame is true (at the time) Rest of year - try to negotiate Fleetwood Mac.... won't compromise on price, falls through Try to negotiate Pink Floyd (Gilmour, Mason, Waters) reunion, because Waters played with Mason in the US - falls through Try to negotiate Led Zep reunion - they um and ah so much, coz Bob wants the songs taken down so many keys for his voice, it's getting towards autumn and it's getting a bit late to not know who the three big heads are going to be..... Macca makes encouraging noises to Zoe Ball - Nick & Emily think they'd better start putting ink to paper for the last of the Three, with only two in the frame so far - Macca is clearly a great choice, even though it's not *that* long ago he played, so they talk to Macca around September, he plays a bit coy, they say go on do it, your kids want you to, he warms to it, they say but there's no way you're going to pull out this time, we're going to go public the second we can get your sig on a piece of A4 and then you can't go back on it, he says OK as long as I can tease it first so it looks like my idea Then..... today!

    2020 headliners

True she didn't get her act together, or turn up on time, but I (for one?) really enjoyed her set, despite her bouts of petulance

Dedicated playing device just for one seminal 80s band, that's devotion
  6. Yeah that's totally understandable of course, but I imagine that when it comes to booking one of the biggest stars on the planet for the 50th anniversary, their memory of recent inconveniences becomes a little fuzzy, if there's a chance they could come and make up for it with an incredible performance on the biggest night of the festival's history
  7. Heh yes indeed - got my crew's tickets on Sunday at precisely 09:21 ?
  8. That doesn't in itself prove anything, as it's much too small a sample. But if it's true that it doesn't make a difference, we're tearing up the eFests rulebook of ticket buying wisdom! ?
  9. Yeah loved the Wormhole this year, and would also highly recommend Small World for brilliant late night live music, great coffee, and sunken fires to huddle around
  10. But I thought you said Glastonbury ticket buyers are: So is that what you think of as the tolerant bunch?
  11. But, sorry to sound like a smart-arse, that is also exactly what you'd see if it was truly random...

    Good Luck ALL !

You got some sleep? Give thanks! ?

    Good Luck ALL !

Here it comes - very best of luck all!
  14. I'm worried we might have a couple of 'passengers' tomorrow morning, but I'm going to be the bastard Sgt Major saying at 8:45 on the WhatsApp group "OK, who's here wanting to try for tickets??"
  15. Better to refresh, but keep it under 60 per minute!

    The Zone

Definitely a bit of balls-out panic - but I do need to be without any distractions, and if anyone accidentally asks me a question in *that time*, well, unfortunately they'll see a snappy side of me that I'd prefer to think does not exist....
  17. C'mon guys! It ain't over til it's over! *Somebody's* gotta get those tickets, right?
  18. Makes practically no difference, you're fine!
  19. Excellent! Best of luck tomorrow Crazy!
  20. Hmm, I'd expect the option below the one you've got there, the USB LAN, to be the one to select, but that one seems to say Not Connected. I presume your adapter plugs into a USB socket? Might it need a driver installing? (Some do, some don't)
  21. It'll only use the wired connection when you turn off the Wi-Fi that you've been using so far. You might then need to select the ethernet adapter in the Network Control Panel too. Also, does your new adapter have led's on it to show network activity, and if so are they blinking up at you happily (to make sure the ethernet cable you've plugged into it is sound)?
  22. I'm not sure it is simply between the laptops - @parsonjack did some experiments eons ago (well probably around page 15) and it seems that it depends which servers the two browsers connect to - if they're on different ones, you get 60 refreshes per min for each - if they happen to have both been routed to the same one (by See's load balancer, and it's totally random) then it's the total clicks between them that count. How do you know which situation has happened? Well unless you can look at and decode the cookies on your machine, you can't!

Then when you close all the incognito tabs the cookies are all deleted again for those tabs. The cookies still remain for the non-incognito tabs until you explicitly delete them, though
