  1. Yes I saw it say that on the railway line entrance on Sunday evening "Your lifestyle option is currently out of stock, please choose again"

Some guy (apparently related to some ex-Kid Creole Coconut) had an adverse reaction to some shrooms and had to be carried through the crowd to the front - he looked very spaced out, but it was all handled very efficiently My mates further back were totally unaware of us at the front singing happy birthday to Macca just after Junior's Farm, and just thought that Macca standing there quietly for it was him having a 'senior moment' 😆
  3. Noticeably missing from the Pyramid Stage area..... .... any problems with Macca's voice
  4. Yeah wish I'd seen Olivia - only stood through Noel to get a decent spot for Macca, would've loved to have been at Other Also missed DiRo because I couldn't face another busy Pyramid after 8hrs there on Saturday, but wished I'd seen her, looked epic
  5. Standing a few people away from me for Macca in the front of the pit was a guy who I'm sure was Dhani Harrison (George's son). Nobody else is that handsome! Only reason I doubt it is that surely he'd have been in one of the VIP balconies on stage?
  6. Totally agree - the screens at the Pyramid were incredibly detailed even when close up, never seen anything like it before. They didn’t seem to be made up of lots of smaller screens, so they seemed just like one whole smooth surface - excellent
  7. A decent and exciting range of ales in Cockmill's Bar by the Acoustic Stage was missing this year - totally generic range of beers and the same as every other bar on site, which was a bit disappointing. Still a great bar, and still quieter than most other bars which was handy. But also craft ales were missing from the Theatre Field 'Craft Ale' bar and the Taphouse - both also generic The other thing missing was obvs any space to walk comfortably on any paths
  8. One other thing this year - even with all the ’cash only’ debacle, Brothers Bar won’t accept ‘old’ £20 notes, even though they’re legal tender still for three months. Thought that a bit unnecessary
  9. I’ve seen more queue jumping / pushing in this year than ever before, wasn’t really ever a thing in my experience before this year
  10. Worth every doggone penny I’m sure we all agree These fine seem to follow Springsteen around don’t they…
  11. Noticed this year that most of the bars seem to be carrying the same fairly small range of cask beers - couple of Otters, Butcombe Gold, Shipyard here and there, and that’s pretty much it. Even Cockmills which we can normally rely on for a good range, is the same as the others. Taproom and that one in the Theatre field too. Not really complaining, they’re good ales, but has anyone found any better selection anywhere?

    Don't *say* that!! 😱

He even pulled out Honey Don't in that sound-check set - and we all know who sang that one originally...... maybe preparing it for a special appearance - and history was made....

If we fill it with Ringo songs he'll just *have* to bring him on, won't he......? "While yer 'ere Richie, fancy a whallop on them drooms? Shove over Abe..."
  16. If it's at all like other years, they'll get you on the first train they can, and they probably won't be following any pre-released timetable to CC at all. So get there as early as possible and you could be in Pilton before lunchtime!
  17. Echo all the above, many thanks @deebeedoobee and @pilton digger - see you on the inside!!
  18. (on the reissue, sure - sadly in the 70s Elt also said "'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' is a song that I never do in a set at a concert simply because it reminds me too much of John Lennon." so I doubt we'll see him do it)
  19. Elt and Lennon were big pals so I'm sure his & Macca's paths have crossed. Reg did a good version of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds FWIW....
  20. In past years the queueing system has meant that any actual seats booked become a bit irrelevant as you're hearded onto the first train that you get to through the queue (they were running extra trains not on the normal timetable). But if they're saying there isn't a queueing system this year, they must be doing something different I suppose, but at least they're aware enough of the numbers of people taking that route to the fest that I don't think they'll allow it to disintegrate into anything like a free-for-all. You should be fine, even if you're not in the correct seat on the exact train that you expected....
  21. My coach isn't til 9am Wednesday, but even so my group are having to get a local minicab across to the O2 (we're west London) as the tubes aren't even starting til 8 and that'd be too late. Cab's costing over a ton!
  22. How spookily appropriate that the most popular song right now is just about that very event.... thanks Kate

If he does Birthday, which seems a setlist staple, we could give it back to him at the end of that....

Couldn't agree more - if he pulls a stunt like playing A Day in the Life like he did at Liddypool, or does that duetting thing with John on the screen, someone's going to have to call me an ambulance.... it will not be pretty.... not sure I'm up to this tbh
