  1. I think they'd have to act now that knowledge of the hack / method is so widespread and so many more people will be doing it for resale/future events.
  2. I imagine it's something you can do once the sale starts and either you get lucky to the booking page, or you get the IP address from someone else who has managed to get to the booking page.

    Four Tet

Four Tet's afternoon/night-time festival DJ sets are epic. He will be super popular if he's playing one of those (as opposed to what sounds like chilled/alternative sets mentioned above). He is huge though. His Finsbury Park 6hr August show sold out last year (and was ace) and has done again this year. When is he at IICON? I can't see that on Clashfinder.
  4. Had a great time at my first latitude in over a decade. Highlights: LIttle Simz / Foals / Phoebe Bridgers / Manics / Caroline Polachek; (mostly) well maintained toilets and not many queues; and the ease of getting out of the red/brown car park at 8am ths morning Lowlights: Nilufeh Yanay - i don't think i've ever seen an artist less want to be at a gig / the dust. oh so much dust. And someone behind blowing bubbles into my face for the start of the Manics. Overall, it was a cracker. I didn't realise how many families there were and how few 25-45 year olds there would be. But I still had fun.

    DJ Sets

  6. Love this - definitely the right way of looking at it, and I often end up discovering amazing new music in BBC Introducing or elsewhere when the main acts don't interest me. I think for me the issue is less the quality of music (discovery) in itself, and more the cost - compared to Glastonbury or wherever - relative to how well known the bands are and therefore how much you'd pay for a gig (plus the site is open for less time). But all about the discovery - I'll check out your recommendations in the next week.
  7. I agree with most on here that the music lineup is average, and the festival is poor value for money even if the comedians are super expensive. Compared with Green Man or Truck or Y Not, and Latitude isn't somewhere you go for the music. But a good friend of mine and her crew are going, so I'm probably going to head. And all that said, Foals will be incredible as their Glasto set (which I missed) was supposedly immense. Little Simz is exceptional. And I'm also looking forward to Rina. As well as all the comedy and other stuff I'll immerse myself in, as Glasto was all about the music for me this time. I'm not sure Phoebe Bridgers will be THAT amazing. I have wanted to see her for years and finally got the chance at Glasto. She played a good set, and bringing on Arlo Parks was a special moment, but it didn't blow me away. Maybe it'll be different this time.
  8. I think it'll be much harder to get tickets for 2023 than before. I don't think media coverage this year in itself will have much of an impact, as there is always huge media coverage, and people wishing they'd be able to go. But it is now a much broader festival than ever with much wider appeal - for instance, it now has a credible breadth and depth across more genres especially this year for urban/grime/rap (e.g. Megan Thee Stalion, AJ Tracey, Kendrick Lamar headlining), and teen-friendly pop (Olivia Rodrigo, Sigrid, Holly Humberstone, Billie Eilish headlining). Also, there was 2 consecutive "fallow" years due to COVID. And given what seem like more complaints about over-crowding than usual, I think they'll keep the capacity smaller.
  9. You'll be able to pick them up on Ticketswap or Twickets without much problem closer to the time as long as you're quick off the mark. Loads of people's plans will change by the start of summer next year.
  10. This is def doable leaving at 11pm though as Muppetmark says, be towards the back of the crowd by then. You can walk the whole way easily enough if you do it at a fast pace - it's 4 miles along the canal so it's impossible to get lost, and I think it'll be busy enough to be safe. If it was me, I'd walk part way then get a Santander Cycle (/"boris bike") to be sure I got to Kings X in time. And if poss, trial one of the bikes earlier in the day to make sure there are no credit card / payment issues.
