  1. Maybe Sue Gray is like me in that she hasn't actually been doing any work and is now desperately trying to put something together at the last minute.
  2. Not sure that's how the public see it.
  3. Back from run. Not much happened then? All sounds like a repeat of last week's...Starmer going on about parties and Johnson being a twat, and Johnson being a twat to try and rally as much support from his MPs as possible. It's all about the report now...whenever it arrives and whatever is in it.
  4. Man, Johnson is such a turd. Going for a run.
  5. Not sure it's going to work for Johnson bigging up everything they're doing to help cost of living.
  6. Thanks goodness we have Boris in charge with all that going on...I wonder if he's been to any meetings yet.
  7. I'm actually in something called a work office today. Might sneak a watch though...although there is a chance they won't even mention Gray report and partygate.
  8. His MPs will care, and he'll probably resign if he loses vote of no confidence, or he wins but not by much. But...I don't even think we'll get to a vote of no confidence at this point.
  9. We still don't know if this report will actually get released today, or even this week. God knows what is going on behind the scenes,
  10. well they can keep calling him to resign and briniging it up in parliament and to the media, but it is ultimately in the hands of tory MPs, and if Johnson stays eventually the news will move on and people will get bored of it. Just have to see what happens with the local elections in May.
  11. well yeah...and if things not visibly improving by next election a lot of those red wall voters who leant tories a vote in 2019 will vote for someone else (or not vote) next time.
  12. This is the tactic...Johnson broke rules just like you...good old boris...what a proper geezer
  13. So...Johnson needs to go because he a dodgy twat and a clown and it's kind of embarrassing having him as our PM...but at same time if you're going to have a tory govt but want the govt to spend more on health/social care, levelling up, net zero etc., maybe he's you're best bet. In terms of next election, who knows what outcome helps the tories, Johnson is massively damaged at the moment, but at same time he's a celeb as well as a politician and he is always the story, I have no idea if Sunak/Truss/whoever would be popular..probably depends on how economy does over next few years and how levelling up goes.
  14. Thread on the different types of Tory MPs who will get this report...
  15. Prediction...Boris will remain PM and Russia won't invade Ukraine.
  16. Good doc just started on BBC2...The Decade The Rich Won.
  17. Well yeah, I mean how MPs see it. Sunak is obvious choice but maybe they think he's not ready for it yet. Not sure about Truss...would she be popular amongst voters?...I know Tory members think she's great, but they're a bunch of nutters. It's not a good time to take over anyway, let Boris take all the flak for the trouncing in the local elections, then replace in the summer....and hope not too much long term damage to the tory party.
