  1. Tranquility Base is their best, IMO. I love all of their albums. Humbug runs a close second, but they're pretty interchangeable for me. When you say snoozefest, how many times did you listen to Tranquility Base and The Car? Just curious!
  2. I thought they were brilliant. But I'm 40, and I think Tranquility Base and Humbug are their best albums. So what would I know.
  3. i mean, i understand that it needs a license... but why would there be restrictions on timing etc? should just be an absolute free for all weds 9am - monday 6am. john belushi would have f**king loved glastonbury.
  4. It seems insane to me that licensing rules apply.
  5. I got in for a friend at about two mins past. A new record for me. The new payment scheme is interesting. Makes it harder to get tickets. Having people's payments rejected gives you another chance to get your ticket on the day. Fairer, probably yes. Bad news individually, also probably yes 🙂
  6. Well, it won't be Keef: "An old bitch... his writing is limited to songs about dead blondes."
  7. I remember that being in the theatre field, maybe five years back?
  8. Warm ale (ie. Otter etc) really isn't what I'm after when it's summer and I'm hungover. I wish they had some session IPAs on keg around the place.
  9. This. It's all about maximising your chances. Use autohotkey, and page refreshers. Let the tech do the work for you. To add to this, I would try to avoid using work laptops as they're most likely firewalled off and using shared public IPs. You want to spread over as many publics as possible. Having said that, people have lots of success on mobiles...
  10. It's only a 'bloodbath' if you don't get tickets. I think a ballot would fundamentally be fairer, but the present system is superior for maximising your chances - if you know what you're doing.
  11. Agreed. Seems an odd choice for the Sunday Novelty Act.
  12. I think Tranquillity Base is their best album. Humbug a close second. Hence, cannot wait for the new one.
  13. Yeah, they could just play that song with Ed Sheeran 15 times!
  14. To be honest, I thought it was officially known as 'the Sunday novelty act slot'.
  15. So don't watch them, listen to them, or think about them. Why are you wasting your time posting in a thread about them if you don't like them? Trolling in a Glastonbury forum seems like a very odd way to spend your time.
  16. Well said! "Shut up and give me Ritz to the Rubble Part 2" 🤦‍♂️
  17. Do you know them personally or something? Of course it was stirred up by Turner. He's the songwriter.
  18. It was the end of something. It was the second last song.
  19. The only headliners I've really enjoyed in the years I've been (2013-2019) were Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, the Stones, Metallica and Arcade Fire. All of the others I just had a poke at and wandered off to see something else. As always - to each their own 🙂
  20. Humbug and Tranquillity Base are their two best IMO. SIAS had some incredible stuff on it too. Would love to see them in a club and hear (amongst others): That's Where You're Wrong My Propeller Jeweller's Hands Dance Little Liar Fire and the Thud All My Own Stunts Suck It And See
  21. Play TBHC start to finish. Then Humbug the next night 🤘
  22. Humbug and Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino are comfortably AM's two best albums.
  23. It isn't Glastonbury, but it's a God-tier festival IMO. It's tiny in comparison (you can walk from the main stage to the second stage in a tent in about 5 minutes). It's a great vibe, great beer etc. The music is less middle of road, way more off-kilter with more of a psych bent. No Radio 1 stuff at Green Man.
