Nobody is forced to buy an album? She's re-releasing them for a reason (rights related)

and if your on about how there's like 5 versions of each one, thats very standard practice

Very standard practice with who? Five versions each with a different bonus track. 20 bucks to watch her film online. Not sure why you defend it, she's absolutely rinsing her fans.

  2. The way Taylor Swift basically scams her fans out of cash with the way she releases albums and the amount she charged people to watch her film etc etc etc, it would be a surprise to me if she didn't start doing some more extreme dynamic pricing.

All's fair in love and capitalism.

Although a lot of the lineup is banging, I’m not so much of a fan of them putting acts like Peggy Gou and Fatboy Slim headlining there now instead of acts we used to associate with the Park. Feels like, much like Holts of recent years, the unique identity is slipping in favour of it just being another stage at the festival.

Glastonbury Festival, brought to you by BBC Radio 1.

ha! yeah - its just that the TV License is something that makes my blood boil....

It's designed to do that. It should just be part of general taxation and nobody, except for people who form their world-view from the Daily Mail opinion pages, would bat an eyelid.

    Also...

    I don't see why we're f**king about.

Just get the Pet Shop Boys on the blower.

Would be the biggest Pyramid party of all time.

Out of curiosity, how old are you? I'm 41 and feel like I'm too young for them.

To each their own, of course.

Genuinely the time to get Ratboy off of The 1975 on the phone rather than book those musical statues playing pigeon beshat one hit wonder c**ts.

Aha Shake Heartbreak was great. Thereafter they embraced the pigeon sh*t - completely different band.

You think The Chainsmokers could take the slot rudimental had last year?

Absolutely laughable to think that EDM garbage like this would be on West Holts.

  9. lads, apologies if i'm misunderstanding / out of line, but i like it black and white:

general resale - something like 500,000 attempts every second. probably even wayyy more if people are hitting it hard via several means.

local somerset ticket sale - probably a few hundred attempts every second

what's the technical explanation about the 'patch'? major sale sunday is all hands on deck.

That's a bit pedantic - it wasn't intentional or by design so it's fair to call it a loophole.

Prohibiting Glastonbury sales through servers which are not intended for Glastonbury sales can be considered a patch.

You won't know if it's been 'patched' until the resale, so I'm not sure what the point of your post is.

Just curious - who is to say those servers weren't intended for the sale? They were Seetickets servers that processed sales, were they not?

I don't know the technical side of things but I'd be very surprised if they hadn't patched the loophole by now.

This has been mentioned a few times, but again for those at the back of the room:

    • It's not a 'loophole'; and
    • It hasn't been 'patched'.

If Emily wants to expand the pool of headline acts and not back the festival into a corner of always having to have actual stars top the bill she should bump up Catfish and the Bottlemen. They've worked their way up and it's always good to see a British band make the leap to the very top.

While they're at it, they could rename the Pyramid the MOR Stage or the Radio 1 Stage.

Oh sorry I’m not really that good with networking. I just tried it with the IP and it gave me the queue page and 403 error saying not authorised or something along those lines

Don't worry - I'm a network engineer and it isn't exactly straightforward for me either 😄

Didn't think I was seeing a 403 yesterday when someone shared the IP after the sale with that host entry in place, could be wrong though.

Edit: saying that, still serves up the holding page when pointing at 167.98.233.90 which was never in the published DNS records anyway. Where did that 167 address come from I wonder?

Well, .88 has been in use for some time.
