    Train Tickets

Hi Everyone I have finally locked in plans to travel back from the festival to London via train (bus is too expensive at this point). Theres off-peak tickets still available at a reasonable price, which will cover me for a few hours of available trains to get out of Castle Cary. Is it going to be doable getting a shuttle from the site and onto a train with a few hour range? Or is it just too crazy? Also, seat reservations are long gone. Is it madness to try and get on a train without one? Travelling from Australia but drove last time, so just trying to cover bases.
  2. Would Limp Bizkit really play Glastonbury? Hotdog on the Pyramid?
  3. Bands playing the big rock festivals that are free without the Friday making it a heap of days in a row: Alice in Chains Manowar Cage the Elephant Eagles of Death Metal That's looking at Download, Hellfest, Graspop, Rock Werchter, Rock am Ring etc.
  4. Earache Express could also have it's only announcement
  5. I think people are really overstating what sort of sized metal/heavier band Glastonbury would pull. Talk of Slipknot, Kiss, Def Leppard etc there's no chance of. It'll be a bad who would play a similar slot at Download, but who has mainstream appeal. I was initially thinking Slash but he's now in Slovakia. Looking at previous years it'll be a band like Whitesnake, Alter Bridge, Alice in Chains, Slash, Status Quo etc.
  6. I say this every time this thread gets bumped, but Alice in Chains. Euro tour finished on the Monday before Glastonbury, have UK dates they haven't sold out so wouldn't be on the poster yet, the right size, and just enough mainstream appeal to play the Pyramid.
  7. As doubtful as you could get seeing it's either a 24hr flight to glasto or a 20 min uber to their house after the gig.

    The "Metal" Slot

I don't get why people are glossing over Alice in Chains as a shoe in for this spot. Them and Iggy are the only two bands who are about and the right size it seems. But AIC have a big tour to sell, so actually have a reason to be held back from announcing.
  9. The Living End announced as a support for the Stray Cats UK tour, and also playing a gig in Dublin on Glasto weekend. Could see both there!
  10. Alice in Chains are looking a good shot too. Also, Converge for the Napalm Death slot.
  11. Pyramid: Stormzy, Liam Gallagher, Other: Wolf Alice, West Holts: Hot Chip, John Peel: Interpol, Nothing But Thieves, Park: Thom Yorke Saturday: Pyramid: The Strokes, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Cardi B Other: The Streets, West Holts: Wu Tang Clan Sunday: Pyramid: The Cure, Catfish and the Bottlemen, George Ezra, Kylie Minogue, Other: The Chemical Brothers, Weezer, West Holts: Janelle Monáe John Peel: Bloc Party After some recent announcements I can see it being something like this. Hoping for Converge to do the Napalm Death slot too....
