  1. Whoopsy. They really were screwed by Madge.
  2. no Kacey Musgraves either although she’s absolutely the sort of mid-Other act who could be added later.
  3. Massive in the teeny bopper demo. Will get a bigger crowd than SZA or anyone on the second line.
  4. People say that every year and it never ever happens.

    SZA

Not been following the rumours so this is a surprise! Small crowd but will be cracking for those who are there.
  6. Didn’t realise you were including acts on the Other, my apologies. Avril is a great booking but yeah not sure why The Streets are high up the bill again.
  7. Gossip headlining Woodsies in 2024 is a bit weird but the West Holts trio is as strong as ever.
  8. Keane and Paloma granted but Shania is the legend so it’s only really those two and Cyndi. PJ Harvey, Micheal Kiwanuka and LCD is a lot more ‘6 Music’ than some years.
  9. Haven’t been following the rumours this year so it’s all a bit of a surprise to me. If Sunday night’s headliners are SZA, The National and Justice then the latter is going to be insanely crowded.
  10. Looks like an absolute belter apart from the Pyramid headliners. LCD and Janelle on the Pyramid will be all timers.
  11. Another year suggesting the fest is trying to move away from the model of the Pyramid headliners being the be all and end all. Fantastic lineup apart from the top line being a bit meh.
  12. That would look pretty ‘standard’ and I would hope someone with Matty’s ego would make headlining Glastonbury a bit special. Probably optimistic but I have a dream that closing the Pyramid is finally ‘important’ enough for them to justify bringing out Antichrist.
  13. There was the field painting thing, and there was also Elton’s rocket, but they still didn't put a time and date on the announcement like that Coldplay did in that video. Don’t think anyone’s ever been that specific in trailing exactly when an announcement that turned out to be Glastonbury related was coming. Not Pyramid headliners at least. But it’s a moot point anyway because the video was old.
  14. There was for like five minutes because someone dug up an old Coldplay video trailing an announcement. But all the excitement has died away now.
  15. Nah that’s basically an announcement itself. I’m talking about a band saying “we’ve got an announcement tomorrow” and then it turning out to be that they’re headlining the Pyramid. 99% of the time Glastonbury announcements come out of the blue, or at most are hinted at vaguely.
  16. And thank god because she started the 2024 dates in much the same vein as she started the 2023 dates - frontloading the bangers to an extent people with later dates would be left with the threat of End Game looming too large for comfort. .
  17. Their live cred has been undeniable for a while now. Surely certainties on the next album cycle.
  18. That’s true actually, forgot about that one. But it’s definitely rare.
  19. Never known a Pyramid headliner to tease their announcement in advance anyway tbf. Closest was probably the Foos playing that pub.
  20. There’s clearly something coming but lunchtime on a Thursday would be a strange time to release more than just Coldplay. Usually in the morning so it can get in the Evening Standard or the evening when people have finished work IIRC.
  21. Yep. Maybe people wouldn’t be so mad if they hadn’t already pushed the sale back from the usual October weekend at relatively short notice. Having to hastily rearrange time off twice in quick succession isn’t ideal. Certainly a more valid reason to be frustrated than the nonsense about not having the money for it in two weeks time.
  22. It’s already as good as a lottery. A bit of competency shouldn’t be too much to ask for although it’s not like TM have a splendid recent history in that regard either. Have everyone queue up in person at Worthy Farm, job done.
