  1. Yeah it was strange. You had a fair number of people pretty unhappy with shifts and a similar number who were delighted. Normally it seems every one gets a bit of both.
  2. This. I just did Bearded Theory for 3rd time on trot, great festival and it was fab. Apart from the shifts. Fri 8-4, Sat & Sun 4-12 (midnight). And not at positions in the arena. We got the shortest of the short straws there, not happy, but its the roll of the dice. You lucky pre-shifters luck is paid for by someone else, somewhere! 😅
  3. Me too please 😀
  4. It has had some good headliners pour moi, Cindy Lauder instead of Coldplay and Dexys instead of Metallica for example. Really very good. And the blanket/chair brigade have normally moved on/packed up at that time of night.
  5. Welcome aboard Iggy and the very best of luck with your new acquisition - a lot of folks are banking on you, no pressure! 😀🤞
  6. I wrote something the other day about Neils legacy of the efestivals forum and i meant it. I didn’t directly mention the petty minded and offensive ways that Neil has gone about his management, i think I referred to the way he manages to ditch his clients if he thinks they are unhelpful to efests. This is nothing to do with that, this is offensive, child like and damm wrong. Ben said it above, how people who post here are in the vast majority lovely people. Neil just leave them be and go.
  7. Also it would be splendid if the new proprietor introduced themselves - maybe you could facilitate?
  8. Echo all that has been said Neil, you should be so proud of what you have created. I believe this is the best source of info, knowledge and insight into Glastonbury outside of Worthy Farm and the GFS control centre. Astonishing. An amazing legacy. I also have a weird admiration for your rather confrontational approach to your clients and how you manage the turnover of posters who you feel to be getting too big for their boots. Effective if not pretty 😀. Bon voyage fella!
  9. It’s an interesting one. My mate has two season tickets at Old Trafford (via his business) and he normally goes with his son. The tickets are in his name and his mother who hasn’t been to a game in 5/6 years and wont go again. The admin process doesn’t seem to enable transfer of season tickets unless/until the ticket holder dies and then they can pass to family. But also when he and son can’t go he loans them out. I am an Everton fan (yeah i know) and have watched us getting beat there for donkeys years……… Never been challenged nor has anyone else who has gone.
  10. Top job guys. Looks like someone knows what they are doing - which one of you was it......😍

  14. 😂 couldn’t make it up could you……
  15. Yes agreed. I think they would fit in on Woodsies or the Park. Here’s hoping.
  16. Manchester Orchestra announced (on Songkick) new gig on the Friday of our festival. I really hope they pop in to see us before going back home. Missed them when they were last in Manchester. They are playing in London 3 nights in middle May. Friday 23 June 2023 The Blues Kitchen, Manchester, Manchester
  17. I think we knew this - Barrington will be on Sunday. I wonder if the Skatalites will be playing somewhere? Really looking forward to seeing him/them.
  18. Five tickets paid for. Bloody expensive. But worth it! Now the logistics planning really starts……..😃
  19. Quite a few on here would be lovely… ones not mentioned above inc Steve Earle, This is the Kit, LN & POTR, Kurt Vile
  20. Just reading a Guardian article about Eltons touring stage set up. It’s going to be fascinating to see how this is represented on the Pymild…… gonna need some changes! https://www.theguardian.com/music/gallery/2023/mar/22/designing-elton-john-final-tour-farewell-yellow-brick-road-in-pictures?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
  21. Not sure you can pass on tickets, t & c sa they are non transferable. Your email address should be attached to a reg no. I guess? Am sure they want to avoid someone passing it on to someone else for ££££’s……

  23. Yeah know what you mean about the new owners. Last year was first year i think, and things continued as was as far as i know. Re the woodlands i experienced the chaos on my first shift on the Friday evening on the entrance. It was crazy 😀. I thought they were opening a new venue where the circus was, bigger than woodland as a second stage? Or have i made that up?
  24. Bearded is a great festival at any time, but being the first of the 3-4 day camping festivals of the year make it even better. A wonderful way to kick off the summer festivals. And there aren’t that many Oxfam slots really.
