Just watched the set and it's brilliant

If it wasn't for seeing them in 2011 + upcoming tour id have been there.

This. I am happy I was at Elton, but it’s fantastic to hear and see how good Josh and co. were. One of my favourite bands, can’t wait for November!

Collection points open from Monday to Friday in Glastonbury and other towns around Pilton would be an option. Like is already done for a lot of concerts. Select your collection point, and you can collect days before the fest, or on your way during the fest, whichever is easiest for you.

    Seetickets, are you reading this?

I'm hoping that Elton will start earlier and I'll watch 45min or so (probably less) and then go to QotSA for the last part - well thats the plan, wether it works out that way I've no idea

One of the times i tried this, I got distracted and ended up in bar between sets (I think it was Paul Mc and Chemical bros)

Luckily enough the clash (kinda) got solved: I already saw Thundercat last year and I will see QotSA later this year, so I'll just be at Elton. 🙂

  4. Really like the new album as well, love how the sound is going back to Era Vulgaris.

But I'm still going for Elton. I'm really happy that they have announced a European tour for November, that takes away a lot of my FOMO.

If you end up with Box Office collection for tickets, is there any ablity to drive close to the Gate A portakabin, pick up tickets, then drive off and into a car park?

Supposed to be staying (and parking) in Sticklinch, so very much trying to avoid a long walk around the roads at the edge of the site.

Nope. Last year we had to park our car and buy a parking pass, before getting in the general Ped Gate A line, then get in the line for the International Box Office to pick up our ticket and our PARKING PASS.

  6. Another Dutch guy here, still no ticket here either.

2023-06-06 12:13 LANGLEY HWDC IPS, Item Leaving the UK

2023-05-24 20:05 Nottingham MC, Item Received

    2023-05-24 14:14 Sender preparing item

But one of my friends also contacted See Tickets, his ticket isn't even sent out yet. Last year it took ages to get to the international box office on Wednesday morning, so I was really hoping to avoid it this time.

    Hello All,

So, for the European based people waiting for tickets, I can share my experience and timeline (as per the tracking) now as the tickets finally arrived this morning (Vienna, Austria). Huge relief and I am so glad to be rid of that stress.

24.05.2023 - posted and sat at Nottingham for a fair chunk of time.

04.06.2023 - at Heathrow and sent on a plane to Austria (phoned Royal Mail and they confirmed they had left the UK). Couldnt give me the flight details because of GDPR.

11.06.2023 - arrived in Austria and processed

    12.06.2023 - delivered this morning

I appreciate this is irrelevant if you are still waiting, but I thought I would share my good news to give anyone still waiting some hope.

I had emailed seetickets last week to ask what would happen if the tickets didnt arrive in time for our departure to the UK and the reply was simply to contact them (via the online form) two working days before hand to tell them. They didnt however explain what the process would then be, but I guess you would be able to pick up replacements form the box office at Ped. Gate A on the day.

Good luck to all still waiting.

Thanks for the info! My ticket 'left the UK' on June 6th, so based on this post it could 'arrive' any (in NL) day now.

My friend's got a problem though, according to seetickets his ticket hasn't even been handed to Royal Mail yet, so that could become a major issue.

I’ve wanted Elton to headline for years and was absolutely buzzing to see him announced.

I’d say QOTSA are in my top 5-6 favourite bands of all time.

Up until the now official confirmation of QOTSA (even though we knew) I’ve been leaning 75/25 towards Elton.

Now QOTSA are confirmed I’m torn. I know I’ll never get to see Elton again but I’ve had a 10/10 time both times I’ve seen QOTSA live and know I will again.

Think I’m even leaning towards Queens.

This will be my 7th year on the farm and it’s hands down the worst clash I’ve had at the festival!!

Exactly this, Elton and QOTSA are the two acts I want to see the most. Except I’m leaning to Elton 90/10, because I will get a chance to see QOTSA again. Also, they will never, NEVER be as good as in 2011. QOTSA at Glasto 2011 still is one of my all time favourite shows.

We're gonna do Thundercat then leg it to the start of Elton, should make it fine. I assume you want to have a better choice of spot for Elton though.

Yeah, we wanna get a good spot and I did see Thundercat last year with the RHCP. But definitely go and see both if you can, he's awesome!

  10. Big clashes
Elton John vs Queens of the Stone Age vs Thundercat (gutted, this years three biggest must sees... going for Elton)
The Churnups vs The Comet Is Coming (leaning towards Comet)

    Less stressful clashes
    Camelphat vs Sparks (probably Sparks)
Raye vs Kanda Bongo Man (probably KBM)
Tinariwen vs Manic Street Preachers vs Ezra Collective (probably MSP)

Nah Alison Goldfrapp said in an interview that she was playing pre-Thundercat on the Sunday, so the poster isn’t in any kind of order after the headliners.

Lol, was really happy to finally have a Friday headliner, but instead, the Elton vs Qotsa clash got even worse
