  1. I didn't realise this was a poster surprise @Superscally'd love to see! Tell you what, if we get both of my requests, I'd settle for YYY's with a few solo tracks sprinkled in. To the best of my knowledge they don't do that but I'm one for compromise.
  2. Might be a controversial one but selfishly yes; I saw YYYs a few times way back when, and think Lux Prima was stunning. I'd love a Lux Prima heavy set more than a full band one.
  3. I'm cheating and having 2 but Karen O and Moby for me
  4. Just been reminded of another highlight, Frank Turner at Strummerville in 2010 was pretty awesome, my first Glastonbury and definitely a bit part of me growing to love the festival
  5. Elbow at the Park was great, but I'd throw Lianne La Havas in the Avalon into the ring too. Both felt quite special.
  6. It really comes across like you're shouting rather than 'saying' a lot of the time. I do agree that they are not out of the picture, and think they'd be a decent addition.
  7. I'd say try and make them aware that there is always more than one unmissable thing going on at any point over the weekend, there will always be bands on the highlights that looked like you should've been there, or stories about venues that you weren't in the right place in the right time for; so try and be present. If you're having a good time enjoy it without thinking what might be happening elsewhere. As soon as you feel like moving on, start walking.
  8. Their website tour page is too hectic for a Monday morning!
  9. Alas they are in Australia by late June, they'd have been a great addition to the line up
  10. That remains the most disappointing performance I've ever seen. I can't fathom why I stuck around for the whole set. Perhaps it was because The View was the 'best' alternative.
  11. They were great in Southampton last night. As others have alluded to, the production was brilliant. There's a few dates left on the tour so wont go into too much detail but I hope they have a slot in the dark at Glasto so they can utilise some of the effects that they used. The setlist was great with a banging 1, 2 saved for the encore. I'm glad to have seen them at their own show and would take quite a special clash for me to not see them again in June.
  12. I'd guess that is a replacement and having a usual Subheadliner -> Headliner set up than the co-headliner structure which is basically the same thing with added font size and marketing 😅 Apparently a few festivals are struggling with international headline sized acts so it could be more challenging than ever to find a similar sized replacement at short notice than a 'normal' year
  13. MADNESS, JESSIE WARE, NATHAN DAWE, THE ACADEMIC AND THE RICK PARFITT JNR BAND ALL ADDED
  14. And get there early/stick around for Home Counties if going to London. Saw them a few weeks ago (supporting bdrmm maybe?) and were a lot of fun.
  15. (Included UK dates that have been cancelled before we get into what EU might mean)
  16. Would be an awesome replacement if QOSTA are no longer in the picture
  17. I don't know if there's more pent up energy with such a big gap between festivals at the moment but there is so much aggression in the forums this year; personal jabs that aren't always clear 'banter', calling out fan bases of acts and whole genres. It's a real shame and I think far from the 'spirit of Glastonbury'. It's fun to talk about differences in opinion and taste but it can be done with respect. One of the reasons I interact less than I did is to avoid so many unnecessary aggressions. I'm sure less people are posting on this and the New Music threads that had been fantastic sources of information for many browsers and posters through fear of having to defend sharing tours, songs or albums. (Quote to continue your post theme, my comment is not calling out any specific individuals)
  18. There could be some overlap with this that is not a million miles away on the same weekend - Happy Mondays are already announced for both. Pure speculation but Shame, Turbowolf or Goat Girl would all be great and somewhat realistic additions to IOW for me.
  19. Imagine there could be quite a big overlap here (with the names I recognise anyway). Nice to see Turbowolf back in the game
  20. Fever 333 for John Peel and late night Hell Stage sets? Also Lime Cordiale is in Europe late June, could see them on a farm with Idris after their recent collaboration (assuming he will be there anyway)
  21. Judging by last year's line up we have the following amount announced: Thurs Big Top 3/4 Fri Main 5/6 Big Top 4/7 Sat Main 6/9 Big Top 6/9 Sun Main 7/10 Big Top 6/8 So more names likely for both big stages on all days (number of acts could change but unlikely to be by a lot). And there is a number of smaller stages to announce but there are less likely to be recognisable names on those
  22. Fantastic voice and sense of humour to match.
  23. I'm a fan of Pie & Vinyl in Southsea. I appreciate not many people find themselves in Portsmouth by accident but its always worth popping your head in if in the city (and very near the Victorious site)

    RATM

Imagine being pumped having a ticket that you were expecting to include RATM then Harry Styles filling the slot. It's the Rage knocking X factor winners off the Christmas number one slot coming round full circle.
  25. That LG presale seems to have been removed pretty sharpish thankfully. I don't know why but it seems so much worse than an album pre order code (regardless of without purchase option)
