yeah. funny really I was saying over the weekend that if they were persisting with an afternoon special guest on the Friday they needed to move to opening the campsite on the Thursday and sure enough that's happening.

you've forgotten a Friday night castle headliner now the whole sites going to be open

that seems at odds with our experience even Sunday night when we stayed til the end admittedly we positioned ourselves at the back of the common stage arena. as the last firework went off we turned and walked swiftly, continued moving until 2 lines from the end of the queuing system as the last bus at the time left thought we would have a while to wait but then another 5 or 6 arrived and we were on our way by 1130. this was with 2 very tired kids who I'm not sure appreciated the walking pace but we were happier with it this year than with last year's free for all

personally it worked well for us never queued more than 10 minutes going to the site even yesterday morning when security said it would be 30 or 40 minutes coming back Friday and Saturday we left about 10 mins from the end and walked straight on. Sunday we left at the end of Sam Fender and were on a bus before 1130 which I didn't think was bad compared to the 90 minute queue after royal blood last year

glad it wasn't just me who thought that re Stereophonics I enjoyed the set itself but it certainly didn't feel like a festival set, it just didn't flow all that well

spot on have to say I really enjoyed the weekend. Ended up doing half of Embrace then switching to Editors, kids loved meeting the Octonauts and Fireman Sam. whilst camping off-site is a bit of a pain the shuttles work pretty well. stayed til the end last night and still back at camp just after midnight, family camping felt very safe and peaceful

I was letting my 7 year old down off my shoulders and some drunk guy shoved me in the back saying watch what you're doing you could've elbowed my girlfriend. for reference I had made sure before hand that no one was particularly close. his girlfriend was mortified and pointed out to him she had been nowhere near

that's an interesting change. if they're doing that I think they really need to consider opening the campsite Thursday afternoon. especially if their plan is to persist with big name special guests in the 1pm slot just checked and they are doing so
