my search by email returns my valid details but registration look up to check or edit it isn't coming up. it just bounces back to the info page with a contact form at the bottom which when entering the reg number just bounces back to the same page

That BBC article literally says what I said - "last UK show of his farewell tour". He's stated on several occasions that he's retired from touring but that doesn't rule out occasional concerts.
Evidence of shows in the past month aren't difficult to find - there's this one which was announced a couple months after the tour ended, and this private show..
exactly it very clearly states in the headline end of UK touring career. not end of playing live in the UK this is similar to the Dolly Parton thing where she's said she won't tour again. it doesn't discount one off shows or Vegas residencies at all

and the line up provides massive disappointment. Interrupters definitely a high point of that lot

Snayx
Kid Kapichi
The Cure
PiL
Bar Stool Preachers

Zebra head January tour rules out the return of the house band I’d say also
I'd say all 4 on that January slam dunk promoted tour would feel pretty likely

Barry Manilow. his Manchester show is billed as only UK arena show

They did the same with Jimmy, I think it's helps to attract American bands to do it rather than them just playing to more people at Download albeit further down the bill.
they did. I thought the Jimmy tour was around trees whereas the bulk of the Gaslight one is in March. think it could go either way in terms of Trees sales.
excited about it but hoping the rest of the line up is strong

Can you imagine the uproar if the people who decided to chance it and not pay still got to use the buses? And what happens if you have forgotten or didn't realise you had to pay for them this time...could easily not spot that fact on the booking page tbf.
that's exactly it that shuttle bus point at the camp site isn't exactly spacious but the queue has been quite orderly needing just a couple of stewards add in having to check an extra wristband or whichever way they choose to do it is going to be a nightmare.
I think as well they will get a lot next year booking as they previously had and not realising they should have paid for the buses

It seems they have frozen the ticket prices for next year but charging for the shuttle buses. Surely they should have slightly increased all tickets (including day) and keep the buses free. I do imagine that it must cost them a small fortune to run the shuttle buses but as a camping festival goer, the free shuttle buses make up for the fact that the campsite is quite a distance from the festival itself and is absolute mayhem at the end of the night.
We haven't gone this year but hoping to go next year so very interested to hear if the shuttle buses are just as bad this year as they were the previous two years we went.
I would rather have seen an across the board increase of £20 a ticket to cover the shuttles. with the charge it makes the price freeze seem a bit of a misdirection. additionally I'm not sure how they will police it at either end of the day.

For the camp and ride?!
yes certainly appears that way. for our family group would add 90 to the cost of the festival.and to be honest it will make us think twice. shuttle being included worked for us.

Could Limp Bizkit do it?
I was thinking much the same as I left Gunnersbury the other night.

Is Dolly Parton a safe shout given she's publicly said she'll never tour again? Is there new information on this?
doesn't have to be a tour though. BST have previously had European exclusives. that plus 4 or 5 worldwide dates with long gaps between if what she's said is that she won't tour rather than won't play live

Frank Turner
Enter Shikari
Don Broco

I would guess they can remain exclusive for both as they are very different shows. one will be a full production event, the other is just a low key album launch show therefore that element of the pryzm event is exclusive

As somebody who is always eyeing this festival as a yearly ‘maybe, if the lineup does it for me…’, this year was one of the first where the headliners put me as an immediate ‘nah’, and judging by other people’s reactions here, they haven’t gone down all too well in general. Think further down the lineup is fine and I’m sure I’d find plenty to watch if I did go, but overall it’s a lot of acts who seem to always do the rounds and not a whole lot that jumps out as particularly great or special bookings. BFMV being the ‘big’ headliner says it all really as their stock has fallen pretty drastically over the last few years. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if this was selling poorly.
just seems the sort of tactics BST used to use to shift excess tickets
-
I do wonder how sales are actually going for this it seems they are offering up to £100 off 3 day tickets very easily and whenever I join the waiting list for 4 day VIP which are supposedly sold out I get a message within a couple of minutes that I can buy from that waiting list

5pm Friday at the woodland stage. go check out Pet Needs they are just back from a US run with bouncing souls then off around Europe with Flogging Molly

I would say so. feels like that's too early to still be on festival circuit end of August
