  1. It was. But my point is that's how my mind thinks due to a test event so maybe his does. There has to be a reason.
  2. The first option yes, the second is pointless so probably yes as well. I mean what is the point of one or the other of those. They are totally different ends of protection and security. I think Richard's mind is slightly like mine. The minute test events with rules restrictions for entry are attended in mass, it's like agreeing to overtime on a Saturday. If you could do it once then why not again.
  3. I'm sure he's got enough money to hold off until he gets it his he wants. I mean, why should artists play events under circumstances they don't want to.
  4. I think this is Slam Dunk taking the plunge to book metal in the way Download goers want them too. Obviously starting smaller but with growth comes a time when they will push to try for headliners that Download won't. Its been said it's needed for that crowd.
  5. He will cancel. He's the difference of that day too but I'm already busy
  6. What's so hard to understand? If people have been vaccinated so they are safe and can therefore do things they want to and be protected. Why should people that have chose not to get away with a test that's just over 50% likely to actually be what it says?
  7. I'm not directly saying they aren't. I'm saying for people who choose not to be, this ruling in events stood them needing to so why should others have had to who may actually be concerned about it but chose to because it was the done thing?
  8. This is silly. Why would someone right now that hasn't even bothered with a vaccination get one when they don't actually have to. Going by this, the elder folk have basically vaccinated themselves for the younger not to have to.
  9. I get all your points and what you are doing. Ultimately though if a LFT can fail once because if it's inaccuracy, it's exactly that, inaccurate. I'm not slating you for getting it done at all. The difference whereby a covid or PCR test is a case of you get the real deal.
  10. It's really not. So you are saying that if someone falsely tests negative on a LFT which means the test failed then that was better than nothing and they are good to go. What you are staying is that actually they might as well go in without one and hope for the best. The points I make are basically explained below. Exactly all this. Yes it's good at saying if you have it then you likely do. But it's a shambles at false negatives. Half the reason for the issue we got into was because of the LFT system. It's what they tested people from high positive case areas outside of the UK that were negative and suddenly positive on arrival. A couple I get but a beer whole travel load. The lack of asking for a covid test and rather an LFT can only be due to overspend because if you could use the proper option why wouldn't you. But it costs to get a PCR test, it doesn't for a LFT because all it actually does is determine whether it believes you need a proper covid test. They ran it for weeks at my work. If it's negative then it's only 50/50 it was correct.
  11. LFT is basically nothing. It's the cheapest form and will not deliver accurately.
  12. That first option is pointless, they might as well save time and forget them as LFT prove nothing. You don't know what restrictions are ending yet.
  13. Coachella did not sell out on 10 mins. I went on just for fun to see availability and it was easy over 30/40 mins in. And also Kendrick playing or not playing has no bearing on Glastonbury.
  14. Latitude is very overpriced as well for the bookings they have made. But then it's booked on a very middle to upper class base. Tramlines got some heat for a weak lineup and Supergrass isn't a very strong replacement at all but they are both pretty weak lineups, Tramline is better for me but then price wise it's a lot more agreeable too. We should remember that not everything is going to sell out and get people to an event just because there is an event. But everyone thinks in the world of efestivals. Outside of this forum, people are a still only going to put £200+ into something they actually like especially given furlough etc etc.
  15. That's the thing with Download though. Those 3 subs wouldn't be odd bookings for Download.
  16. They aren't big enough to. 3rd down or zippo headline at max. On their own they are an academy band. Personally I think another festival could have a go. Take the rock bands that Reading don't book and the acts Download won't bump up and charge reasonably for it. Slipknot will do Knotfest but say BMTH and NIN for a two day to start with. Try for Metallica if they can but probably out of budget first in.
  17. That's a very bad way of looking at/putting it.
  18. Sound slightly liked you purchased tickets to something not really for you initially
  19. It doesn't bother me really. Richard Ashcroft was the big one for me but the lineup didn't majorly appeal.
  20. That's by far the biggest hitter there, well for me anyway. Nowhere near big enough.
  21. If Victorious does the same I think he'll pull out of that too. I actually don't blame him though, he's fully entitled to not play under those circumstances and as I said a while back. You start accepting too many testing events and it'll become the normal.
  22. No one is saying they will. But it still was said. They will sub for sure but ADTR have toured much bigger and they didn't get headline. Anyway, it's all about the We Are Scientists tour just announced 😜🤩
  23. That's what they said about B4MV 10 years ago Haha
