    2024 Headliners

this is quite cruel to say imo, she was being forced to perform against her will, we have no idea what she can do but in truth she's probably not gonna do any shows for a really long time if ever, and I doubt Glastonbury wouldbe on her radar if she does.
  2. If Axl didn't own the GnR name they could boot him from the band and get Adam Lambert in. Boot Duff and all, I don't like the cut of his jib you know.
  3. Oh yeah totally forgot that we had an absolutely slammin red pepper and walnut lasagna in Buddafield in-between Carly and Chvrches 🤌 really pleased with how nice it was an my partner was suitably impressed, making up for the embarrassment of last year when I took her there after months of enthusing how good it normally is and then what we got just wasn't good. Buddafield back on top in 2023, we love to see it. Plus a very very nice vegan peanut butter ice cream next to Croissant Neuf. I've had that breakfast at the place next door once in like 2015/16 and always intended to go again but Thursdays the queue's always too massive and band days we're always in too much of a rush to go somewhere else. One year I'm back in there.
  4. Anybody wastes 30 of my precious minutes during Glastonbury they're getting a hex put on them
  5. look up mansplaining and get back to me you mouthy get
  6. The hotdog joint next to the Leftfield entrance to the Other field. Had a lovely big seitan hotdog with plenty of fried onions and other accoutrements and a side of chips with loads of ketchup and mayo. Out of everything we ate, that was the wurst.
  7. Probably the first year I've gone home without getting a Lebanese Mezze in my belly, just wasn't around the Park very much, sadly. I didn't even point at the sign and go "Lesbian Mezze", the old ways are dying.
  8. No Bones Jones / Fritter Shack still the undefeated 🐐 I love them so much, staff are always a great bunch as well New to me this year was the milkshake stand opposite BBC, we got big Biscoff vegan shakes on the Sunday after CMAT. The big queue ate up about 20 mins of Nova Twins set, but you know what still worth it. So needed in the heat. Hope they're back. Nice to see Paellaria expanded to have like three sites now, and especially appreciate one is fully vegan. Had two paellas from them this weekend and could've happily had more. Hopefully sample them again at Green Man. Had a lovely big plate from that Peacock curry place near Rabbit Hole. Had it for the first time last year and it's become a staple. My go-to curry now that Ghandi's Flip Flop's candle has burned out long before its legend ever did. The almond milk mango lassi, mercy me, what a sensation 🖤 and as we sat down by the Park stage to eat it, who should turn up and start smashing the covers on the mic but Mickey Eavis! A highlight! Disagree, love the burgers from here. Every year I make sure to get one. Proper old school wholesome handmade vegan comfort food that you don't see so much any more now that big pricks like KFC are muscling the OG Birkenstock Animal Liberation Front gang out of the frame. And they've got sauces out front for you to moisten up that burger. If you didn't slather that righteous muscle sauce all over it then that's a you problem frankly. Vegan Pyramid was disappointing, not awful but p plain and way too expensive. Was a bit school dinners and cost us £12 each. That breakfast burrito place up by the Woodsies with all the scoucers working it, why I oughtta... Big sign saying they do a vegan breakfast burrito. We queue for ages because seems like one of the few games in town pre-noon and we wanna go CMAT so we can't go further afield. Get to the front and the staff don't even seem to know what vegan means, asking us which of their ingredients is suitable, my sibling in Christ this is YOUR sign saying you do a big vegan breakfast burrito. In the end all we get is a sh*t tortilla with a small dollop of bean chili and salsa. No salad, no jalapenos or owt. f**ken disgrace. We did remonstrate a little bit about how they'd stuck us for £8 and given us sh*t but they got arsey and we had CMAT to watch so we left it and took our disappointment burritos. But still, f**k those guys.
  9. I brought spirits and was a bit horrified at £3 for a less than half pint of mixer from the bars. Bought three 8 packs of sprite/coke cans from Co-op, with discounts it ended up about £15 for 24 cans, each one of them providing enough for mixer in a double/tripleish measure drink for both of us. Saved our ass! The meal deal was great value as well. Food prices were f**kin high, yeah. Most of it was good tho and we've been putting money away for months so we wouldn't have to worry about Glastonbury spends. But I was a bit troubled that it's all well and good with a pair of childless tech workers being able to turn up and have a good time, but when I first came to Glastonbury in 2013 I was earning minimum wage and managed to make it all work, I just don't think that same thing would be feasible for kids now. The festival can't help the cost of living crisis but ffs please can we crank up the car parking prices and subsidise the coach tickets? I'd be very in favour of a batch of discounted tickets for under 25s as well... Sadly just can't think of a way low income tickets would ever work at Glastonbury tho.
  10. More 👏 women 👏 breaking 👏 curfew 👏 Truly a pressing goal for gender equality, I'm sure we can all agree
  11. funny people are saying she should've headlined the Pyramid, is that a better place to stand around looking at an empty stage for half an hour or something?
  12. Whoever made the call to let Arctics stink up the joint for the third time, and the local amatuer Guns N Roses tribute act have a crack at the big time, while Lizzo got shafted with an undercard position. The year is 2023.
  13. If people were able to make Prince understand how things worked then the silly bugger would still be alive tbh
  14. never seen haters hate like this lmaoooo honestly, this is so on its own level that I have to respect it this website is so funny
  15. Rina, Young Fathers and CMAT for me really saying something that Ezra Collective hasn't made the top 3, they were sensational, life affirming, and not even the third best thing I saw. This is why we will beg, borrow and steal, sell organs, go to whatever lengths to go back there every year. Huge shout out to Carly Rae Jepsen, Elton, Fever Ray, Adwaith, and big Mickey Eavis kareoke and all. You kids all killed it, I couldn't be more proud of u The "I got there only for a few songs but holy sh*t they were on fire" prize goes to Nova Twins, Joey Bada$$ and Amadou & Mariam this year.

    CMAT

Opening with this was goddamn brutal 😢

    CMAT

Yup, one of the highlights. Had tix to see her at end of last year but had to dip bocos government won't pay the rail workers a fair wage 😡 Had my traditional Sunday CryTM during the set, Nashville and Be The Cowboy set me off. My partner sat at the back because she was f**ked by that point, said there were people coming into the tent not knowing who she was but enthralled the whole way through, and everybody in the joint did the two step with no hesitation when she asked. The palm of her hand. I am SO f**king happy for her, she's gonna be a huge star 🖤
  18. Watched Lil Nas X up to the end of That's What I Want, nice poisition good bit of space. Leisurely walked over to Woodsies with 5 min to spare before my actual literal mother Caroline came on and killed it. Went for a pee and a fill up of the water bottle. Brisk but not too brisk walk over to the Pyramid. Got directed up the back by high vis gang (they were doing a heroic job, bless them), got up to the top right at the back where the metal fence was just as big Elton came on. Good few pigs standing about enjoying the concert on the public purse up there. Did a circuit of the outside of the crowd having a little laugh at how mental and surreal it all was. Got to the Italian food stand on the other side of the Pyramid and followed some people coming back into the crowd from the bar to get a good position, in situ about 25 mins into the set, I think he'd just finished Benny. Crowd absolutely thick as f**k the whole way through, no breathing room. Stall holders standing on roofs up near Cider Bus. Even though I was on the periphery, I could see and hear well all the way through, and the crowd were loving it... except for when Jimmy Nobody came on and did his song, they didn't like that at all. Really glad I witnessed the scale of the crowd, felt like a real once in a lifetime thing. Hung by the ice cream van and waiting 45 mins after the show for the crowds to clear before deciding it wasn't going to budge and braving the crush to get to the fritter shack. My guesses for guests were Dula Peep, Lil Nas X, Rina Sawayama and one or two of the annoying uncles from Guns N Roses. One out of four not bad considering the odds. Good of Elton to let Rina upstage him and take the crown of Glastonbury for the second night running. Honestly let her headline all 3 nights on the Pyramid next year, nobody is doing it like her.
  19. good for you if the maths checks out
  20. A million quid bet it won't be difficult to pick up reasonably priced tickets on the day
  21. Some ppl on here really think no logistics go into anything
  22. Probably not easily but she could do it if she wanted it badly enough. Which she probably doesn't.
  23. What a load of people don't seem to understand is, Taylor Swift does not live in the same universe as other artists any more.
  24. Joe Alwyn safe to try for Glastonbury tickets in October
